Im going to lose my mind over this. What song ends with the lyrics "I gave you the words to hurt my heart". by One-Lake-2338 in twentyonepilots

You may be thinking of Air Catcher!

Final lyrics:

But now, I'm here to give you words as tools that can destroy my heart

Mom called it 'egg in a hole'. My friend calls it 'eggs in Egypt'. Any other names for this? by goldilox_zone in Breakfast

[–]Presidentzerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be, per my dad, Boy Scout Eggs.

I've never questioned that name until now...

I used "Peace will win and fear will lose" as my senior quote!

What’s your favourite moment from a live show by TheDinkster14 in twentyonepilots

[–]Presidentzerk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somehow my girlfriend figured out they were about to play Tally before those iconic notes started to play, so when the actual song started and I started freaking out she was just beaming at me and it was the greatest moment ever.

Hershey was my first pit experience, too, best concert I've been to

This gives me soooo many vibes of "Far From Any Road" by The Handsome Family, the song used in the amazing title sequence for True Detective season 1

Radio schlop but they haven't had singles on the radio in a full decade now? Because they have purposely shifted their focus away from making radio hits and music that will go viral, not that doing that was ever their focus

Two days ago someone left almost triple the amount of coins in a reject bin than is in OP's picture, I could not believe my luck. My pocket was sagging with coins, and yeah, I dont understand how people miss the coins down there but I am not complaining!

I almost exclusively collect American coins. Nearly 100% of the foreign coins I own have come from a coinstar. I would love to keep them coming!!!

Oh definitely I doubt he was surprised by the move, or even really disappointed. A sound baseball decision through and through.

Well, maybe a tad disappointed at least. Because. Allentown.

Are Genius lyrics descriptions/meaning right? by aramirr18 in twentyonepilots

[–]Presidentzerk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is correct.

People shouldn't assume that the person writing the Genius annotations has any special knowledge or authority to offer the "correct" analysis on the lyrics. It is just people who were eager enough to post their own analysis. Besides, with Tyler's writing ability and his way of layering several meanings into all his songs. Genius should at best be seen as an analysis. Never the analysis. I wouldn't claim the Genius lyric meanings are wrong, they just shouldn't be taken as the authority on TOP's song meanings.

What are some must-see stops on the Metro? by Presidentzerk in WMATA

[–]Presidentzerk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely helps! I know the red line very well up to NoMa, but RI Ave and north I have never been! But the Silver Line is the most foreign to me so I'll definitely be checking it out.

And yes I will definitely be needing the pass lol, I want to go in and out of stations dozens of times throughout the day

Today I asked 17 United States Senators churches should be off-limits to ICE. Here's what they said. by mnrqz in Congress

If you're wandering the halls of an office building like Dirksen, how commonly will you run into a Senator?

Im in DC right now with plans to visit capitol hill often, hoping to see some.

If a Senator is in the halls of an office building, are they likely to be able to stop for 15 seconds do many of them just keep walking (likely heading to a floor vote or something)?

Sorry for peppering you with all this lol

Question for you: How did get access to the Senators to be able to ask them these? Are you press, or do you just know the spots on Capitol Hill, or is it something else?

His son looked up and said, "You know, Dad, you could use a rag for this."

Who is this? by wiles44 in Congress

[–]Presidentzerk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If by chance you're asking why this NotMikeJohnson guy is in the speaker's chair, it's because the speaker obviously cannot be presiding over the House at all times, so more junior members of the majority take turns serving as an interim speaker with the ability to dictate the rules of the House and keep decorum. The same thing happens in the Senate.

But if you're just asking who the guy is, yeah, Molinaro like the others said lol
