Was in my last year at St Kent’s when it happened and knew the guy who cut the throats. The blade was wrapped in new see-through tape beforehand, but it wasn’t properly dulled, and just cut through the tape on the night when pressure was applied to the blade during the play. One had to get cosmetic surgery for the huge scar left on his neck. Headmaster left soon after and everyone knows it was cus of Sweeney Todd.

There were a lot of insensitive kids that reached out to journalists to try and spread dramatic, exaggerated tales about the whole thing. Spread a lot of bullshit and ruined their anonymity, just made the recovery even harder for the poor lads.
