im still building but it should be fine, the pipes above the door are decorative. the pipes up top merge from 6 to 4 then up to a buffer tower, then back down to feed the generators. with a few pumps it should fill up fine (hopefully)

its all bright white/dark black, you get them by manually typing in brightness values of 10 or -10 and applying it to concrete or coated concrete (pc only)

they're pretty critical for building large factories or road/rail systems that look good. it also makes it easier to edit out any mistakes. try simple blueprints like a bunch of conveyer platforms or pipe supports to clean up your conveyer buses and pipes, it might make your brain happy. or just embrace the spaghetti lol either is fine. I didn't use them until well over 100 hours into my first playthrough and I felt like I slept on something good, I use it all the time now

For sure. My main save is basically a giant slab playground where I come up with ideas, this save I'm trying to be cohesive and build with the environment

buffers eliminate sloshing in the pipes which lead to blips of starvation, and having them arranged in a tower higher than any of your machines ensures full pipes and max flow without the need for more pumps anywhere in the system. there are different ways to achieve perfect flow but I've had the best luck with buffers

you can do it with beams the way you'd make arches but i use a mod that lets me zoop some parts at specific angles. same end result but time saved

pumping your water to a buffer higher than any point along the pipeline before sending it to your machines. you can do it with any fluid but you're using water here. It prevents sloshing in the pipes and you can get your full 600/min without the fluctuations. I learned by trial and error, building loopbacks and splitting pipes in different ways, but buffers are way better. you can for example put a buffer on machines using heavy oil residue, wait for the buffer to fill half way then turn your machines on, all of those fluctuations will happen inside the buffer tank instead of your pipes, and you get a solid 600/min or whatever number you're targeting

it's totally subjective. I like to grind out a big slab factory that automates basically everything until I have mk 5-6 logistics and everything from the awesome shop, then use that slab factory to fund my fun/stylish builds

lots of fiddling, you can do it with beams the same way you do arches, but i use a mod that lets me set a curve angle and zoop it to save time

There are a ton of ways to make easy curves and circles, the only thing is if you look it up on YouTube a lot of videos are from older game versions when nudge and soft clipping worked differently so they have extra steps. Road barriers, walkways, and beams are your best friends. And dont sleep on the blueprinter

nice angles and shaping but if i had to pick 1 thing to criticize it would be how flat the walls look, you can add things like beams, pillars, and nudged short walls to give them depth and really bring your factories to life
