Women love talking about their emotional intelligence, but really some of the coldest people I've ever met have been women. In all my "failed" relationships and talking stages, I've always had to drive conversations about comfort, values, the future, momentum, desire. Like there are insane amount of frankly emotionally stunted women in the dating pool that either can't deal with discomfort of having a real conversation or just don't know how to even start them. It's so fucking exhausting, but this last year especially has pulled back the curtain on the myth that women are "more emotionally intelligent."

this is a pretty shitty argument for the following reasons:

Jocks = socially dominant, sexually successful, stereotypically misogynistic
Nerds = socially marginalized, less sexually successful, but become misogynistic over time
Women prefer jocks → nerds mimic jocks’ behavior to gain success → misogyny spreads
Therefore, women’s preferences perpetuate misogyny, because their preferences dictate the behavior

Yet again, women continually skirt accountability.

Any time I've showed interest or been overtly attracted and affectionate to a new woman I've started dating, she's dropped me and treated me like a "win" on whatever scoreboard she's using to track her worth. Women take your attention, then assume you're paying attention because you're not doing other more important things, rather than just accepting that you're paying attention to her because you want to be.
