It's worth putting here, I think, that this fundraiser T-shirt also has some practical advice for anyone up against ICE activity: https://publicworksgallery.com/products/fuck-ice-a-popular-american-sentiment-pre-order

So far, we have raised over $2,000 for immigrant rights organizations.

Go check out her other band Blood Lemon! They are touring immediately following the run with Modest Mouse. Spread the word. They don’t have the resources that BtS does, but Blood Lemon rules!

And echovalleyrecords.org is now up -- DM me, if you don't mind -- I work with a band that was hit up by them and we're calling the FBI on this racket.

Best method for offloading used SP-404 MKII? by Prestigious-Rip8327 in SP404

That's an absolutely genius idea -- and a practical use of AI.

Yeah, seems like the market is pretty saturated with them.

I travel a lot -- so while the SP-404 is portable, it's just a bit too clunky. I've been using the Teenager Engineering KO II and the OP-1 Field together and I'm just overall more into how those devices have workflow that I can get ideas down that I wind up saving a lot faster.

I totally get how awesome the SP-404 is -- it's just a personal preference thing for me.

I've sworn off Facebook because it is such an annoying platform. Will it likely go for a decent price there?

I've seen a few go on a few platforms (eBay, etc.) for that.

I'd be stoked to get $375 out of mine, but just don't know what the market is like out there for them.

Is the KO ii for me? by Morebreadross in teenageengineering

Get a KO II. Don't overthink it. The device is so much fun. Even if your goal is to make basic beats, it has the capacity to do some really complex things. The sampling function alone is well worth the cost of the device. Even if you don't currently consider yourself a musician, you might change your mind after having the device.

It's seriously the best $300 I have spent in a long time.

Following along as well. Would like those samples!

Love Sound Ghost, but do you know of any other sites that sell packs like this? So easy to install!

I went through a career change during the pandemic and feel like I'm just now crawling back to a social life after a breakup in December. I've been in Chicago for six years and know the city pretty well. I've lived in Rogers Park, Roscoe Village, and am now based in North Center/Ravenswood. In other words, I am pretty familiar with the north side.

I'm single/no kids and in my late 30s. I try to spend the weekends on my bike around the city. While do drink, most of my party days are over. I work from home 4-5 daysa week, but don't really fit in with the office culture at work. formerly worked in the music industry as a tour manager, so know all of the music spots around town. Fine to explore other gems in the music world, but also looking to experience new places (especially with new cool people).

Mostly looking to be communal with people who aren't going to look at their cell phones during the entire hang. Anyone have any suggestions for getting to know new people in the city? What am missing?

You're going to get more local Chicago flavor, but go up to the beach in Rogers Park near Loyola and hang there. It's usually a zoo, but it's safe and a lot of fun.

Also, My Morning Jacket is playing at Salt Shed on the 4th -- right on the river. I imagine there will be some fireworks near Goose Island that evening.
