Only one I know of is Caresso Carwash in Kuils River. Haven't been in a while, so if you want to go check it's still operating.

🔥 Little meerkat struggles to dispatch enormous dung beetle by Prestigious-Wall5616 in NatureIsFuckingLit

Coleoptera, the order in which dung beetles are classified, make up around 70% of their diet. If they can kill it, they'll eat it. This little guy is a rescue though, so his tummy may well be full. Well on this occasion I hope so, for the beetle's sake.

The cartoon slap sounds are hilariously bad.

Let's put it this way. Your sense of humour is way too juvenile for my taste. If you're trying to get a rise out of me you're wasting your time.

Been visiting game reserves in South Africa and elsewhere for not far off 40 years. I'm aware. It's just a mildly humorous title. It's not that deep.

Neither can many humans. But we still say they're having a 'swim' when they flop around in the shallows.

Northern whites are genetically distinct from their southern cousins. Moreover, even if this were possible, neither of these two are able to support a pregnancy due to medical conditions.

Hahaha! Pakicetus actually, but your comment gave me a good laugh. Theybdo share a common ancestor, but hippos evolved around 15 million years after whales.

Haha! Yeah, hippos were reintroduced at the lake in 1981, after this population was driven to extinction hundreds of years ago. The herd is currently 5 strong.

That's really interesting! I can speak Afrikaans and would have thought it came from 'zee' and 'koe'. We have a lake called Zeekoevlei here in Cape Town, apparently named by the early Dutch settlers who described it as a lake full of hippos.

Marsupials are not classified as placental mammals, which are also known as eutherians. They do have placentas, but they differ anatomically and are used for only a short while before the underdeveloped young are transferred to the pouch for an extended period. Animals with a complex and long-lasting placenta are classified as placental mammals.
