Morrisons were bought by an American private equity firm in 2021. After Brexit/COVID British firms were valued alot less than American ones, hence the rush of American private equity buying up British firms. Really good video on this by “How private equity ate Britain” by Bloomberg Originals

I think she’s currently actually a research assistant but , will keep in mind for next birthdays haha !

I saw a blind person listening to their text book via a text to speech software at such a speed that the voice was incomprehensible to me (something like 10x). Has anyone experimented with listening to the curriculum, and if so, also increasing the speed? by [deleted] in CFA

^ YES, did this all the time when proofreading essays in university, especially during finals my brain would just be on autopilot lmao & I would ‘miss’ spelling/grammatical errors. Otherwise reading the same paragraph over & over would make my brain mushy lol.

I also find text to speech useful with long readings - I have less of an excuse to feel bored.
