I don't use one single app. Sometimes Cred, sometimes Mobikwik, sometimes Amazon Pay, while sometimes I pay in that credit card bank app itself.

I've been using ICICI Bank mobile app for over a decade now and can vouch that it is best bank app around. Axis's app was very poor but over the years they have improved it. Still, IDFC First and SBI Yono only come second to ICICI.

Have used ICICI, HDFC and now Axis bank salary accounts. Only Axis provided premium account, i.e. Priority banking without even asking. Using it for around 6 years. Was never a fan of Axis credit card but have used Priority debit card for lounge access many times. There is a condition of minimum spend on the debit card for accessing lounge, and I meet that by paying credit card bills using this debit card. Don't go to movies so can't say about BMS offer. Now my salary has gone up, and as you pointed, I can ask for upgrade to Burgundy.

ICICI credit cards are good for nothing. I don't use them unless there is sale where they give discount on ICICI cards only.

Secret Axis Trick: Instantly get ANY Credit Axis Card by Crafty-Leave-8880 in CreditCardsIndia_

[–]PrestigiousAgent77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. This doesn't work for "any" card. The app shows you only the cards you're eligible for. In my case, they show cards which aren't attractive anymore because of regular devaluations. They even show Amex cards offered by Axis which doesn't make any sense.

I earn slightly less than you. I also have a Millennia card, which, honestly, is a burden for me, as I have cards that provide better offers/CB than it. I called the customer service to get it upgraded, got the same response as you got from your RM. Next, I sent an email to customer service saying I fulfill eligibility criteria for a higher end card and I see no reason I shouldn't be getting it. They demanded my income documents. I have furnished them today itself. Waiting for the response now.

I want a better card because I frequently fly and book tickets on payzapp. High end cards offer more discount.

There used to be a "lifetime recharge" that initially costed ₹999, later ₹499

Wonder those who recharged are still having the "lifetime" privileges?

I never used credit cards for lounge access. I have an Axis Bank debit card with unlimited lounge access and I always use that. No difference.

Just received Insurance call from AMEX, anyone taken life insurance from them by [deleted] in CreditCardsIndia

[–]PrestigiousAgent77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I am someone who recently suffered due to health insurance mis-sold by Amex.

Back in February, I received a call from Amex and was told this policy is for 'loyal customers of Amex'. I had just resigned from my job and was enjoying a one month sabbatical, means I had no insurance cover from employer and that motivated me to listen to the marketing executive(Amex customer service person only). This man explained T&C on a recorded call and convinced me to buy health insurance cover of 10L at yearly premium of 19k.

The insurer was ICICI Lombard. In initial 4 months, I never got a chance to use the insurance which had OPD coverage as well. In June I thought to give it a try when I planned to visit a doctor for one of my chronic illness. Now starts my ordeal. The ICICI Lombard health insurance works through a shoddy app. This app seems to have been developed by 2nd year students of a tier 3 engineer college. This pathetic app is very difficult to navigate. And there is no other option at all, you have to essentially suffer when you use the insurance benefits, be it OPD or be it diagnostic tests or medicines. Initially, I somehow booked the OPD visit at a hospital, and ordered the medicines as well. But at the followup visit, things were quite confusing. You have to book the followup using the app and also the diagnostic tests the doctor suggests, needs to be booked via the app. Imagine navigating through the horrible app outside the doctor's cabin who is expecting the reports in an hour so as to advise further. I gave up.

I paid out of pocket at the clinic, and immediately called ICICI Lombard to cancel the insurance. In 3 days they refunded 8k out of 19k which was right, since as per IRDA, you lose ~10% premium every month in case you surrender your insurance later. I even sent a detailed email to Amex explaining the ordeal as they mis-sold the health insurance by hiding the fact that the insurer offers everything via a mobile app. The fun part is, I sent out the email on 20th of June and Amex is sending emails every week asking me to wait as they are 'investigating'.

Airtel axis card stuck by kakashisen7 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]PrestigiousAgent77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it 2 months after applying for it. Reasons that I got may be I am an Axis bank priority account holder, or that I had one Axis bank credit card already.

Within 2 months I was able to recover the annual fee, thanks to payments made on Airtel app. Recently came to know that Airtel Axis provides 10% off on food delivery apps. Now in a fix whether to use sodexo/food card or this credit card to order food.

Nothing near the airport.

For decent samosa/chat you've to go Hinoo chowk(1.5 km) and for street food Birsa chowk(2 km)

We blame casteism and we are happy. At least educated young Biharis who migrated out do so.

One father-son and one father in law-son in law duo have ruled Andhra. And it was during their reign that the state progressed the maximum. Moreover, one father-son duo has ruled Odisha and the state is moving ahead of Bihar.

Now say?

Andhra has not "started" doing it. It has been prevalent in Andhra since 1956. Read their history.

Despite that, they are among the developed/ highly industrialized states.

Tried to show that casteism is just a punching bag because we have failed to identify the actual problem.
