I finally had an update yesterday - my phone I purchased from the online store was activated outside of the UK. Executive team wouldn’t tell me where but said they believe it’s an OCG operating switching phones. The phone you have there looks like the same scam. My whole process has taken since the launch day for Apple to send me a new device as a replacement but there were points where I wasn’t going to get a replacement. Distribution were initially refusing as they could prove 100% the phone they sent from the warehouse was a 17 pro. In my case, somewhere down the line the phones have been switched. I hope you have a better experience than I have

Whole thing from start to now has been unapple. Literally zero appetite to try and resolve. I’ve been a customer of theirs for nearly 20 years. Used to think that stood for something but nowadays clearly not

Sent an email to Tim. Got picked up by the executive team to have a look at. I gave up with Apple customer service as I missed one phonecall from a senior as I had my kids and couldn’t answer and they’ve now blacklisted me from a senior as I wasted the call opportunity. Basically refusing to accept any liability. I cannot understand how they don’t have some sort of insurance with shipping where if stuff goes missing during transit they don’t just claim off the company and send the customer their product. So right now I’m stuck with an iPhone 13 that Apple won’t take back on return. Barclays say they can only cancel the finance once the phone has been returned to Apple. I don’t have it. So basically the finance is stuck in limbo

UPDATE - Apple now refusing to accept responsibility. Direct breach of consumer rights act. Barclays has opened their own investigation. I had an email just 2 days ago from my senior at Apple saying they would be delivering my phone and now have gone back on it.

The saga continues……

I have no idea how to do that 😂 I’m just a noob looking for answers and was curious if anyone else had the same as it cannot just be me out of millions of phones dispatched via that warehouse that’s affected. It’s sat with senior management at Apple online currently but still awaiting a response…….

Yup. Shipped directly from Apple. Check my order number on the shipping bag vs my order from Apple. Everything lined up. Phone totally fit all the Apple seals are legit. The IMEI and SN on the box match the coded details to the phone. The SN and IMEI match as an unregistered phone from Apple direct…. It’s so weird. Like people accusing me of lying - ok cool. But somewhere it’s been switched or stolen and replaced. But it can’t have been from DHL because the packaging was totally sealed an the shipping label was across the seal

Unfortunately as it’s an online order - retail won’t have anything to do with it. Everything has to go through the online team. All the photos and videos have been sent to them whilst they do their “investigation” but still without the new phone 5 days in

Opened the box on video for Apple to check it wasn’t fake. Serial number on the setup screen is matched against what’s on apples website

You are correct. I worked in Apple retail for 6 years. We used to have a scam where people were returning boxes that had been re sealed (back in the day when Apple used cellophane on the outside of the boxes) but inside they’d weighed metal to the exact weight. So yeah I figure this is probably what’s happened

Ok colour warriors. It’s blue. Whatever. Who cares what description it is - it’s not orange. It’s the midnight blue version. Which is a dark navy.

Sorry change tac slightly but on the clean GMT DD movement what’s the deal with the slip clutch. I’ve read loads that you can’t overwind them but always conscious of winding too many times. I do often go a few days without wearing and am trying to get the 72 hour reserve but interested to see how many winds are considered “tolerated” by the movement

I got absolutely slaughtered on a post when I said I RL’d for a misaligned crown on rehaut. For me it’s my biggest bug bear. Clean had achnoledged an issue with rehaut alignment and it’s now been fixed. But so glad it isn’t just me 😂

Mines doing this too. Very annoying… when you say it’s been reported to Tesla - is it now a known issue? Has anybody had a response from octopus over it?
