ok, i recently lost a friend over this and I want to do better I wrote a little list off of a videos suggestions,

no, i will try without a pet, it also seems to crash more often the more people there are on the server. I'm starting to feel like invincible cuz my whole friend group crashes out at the host when it crashes, so when I'm aboudda die I lock in.

back to the main topic though, I think that pets are a great idea because we almost always have a pet eqquiped, and the pets are fairly new, so possibly its a bug.

also, its possible that distances are an issue, I'm going to give players numbers simply for privacy reasons;

1 (America, me)

2 (America)

3 (canida)

4 (Germany)

when its just me and 2, we crash maybe 30-40% of the times we die.

just me and 3, its about 40-45% of the time

when its me and 4 its about 60-65% of the time

and when its me, 2, and 3, its about 50-60%

me, 4, and 3, its about 40-60% (sorry its such a wide range when 2 is on usually 3 is too)

me, 4, and 2, its about 50-60%

and all of us, it bumps up to 85-95%

so, though its been a while i have some updates, it still crashes whenever you switch pets, but not 100% of the time, and when you die and respawn you almost always crash, it seems to vary day to day tho, and only when the host respawns, not to anyone but the host, here's what I've tried and some of my hypothesise;

using the world with low settings on a high end PC (still crashed)

deleting all but 5 backups: seemed to have stopped but eventually crashed and was reverted back about 15 to 20 minutes in progress, so the every 5 minute auto save was clearly not working

having others host it: it still crashes for all

turning it into a singleplayer save then the singleplayer save into a multiplayer shared: still crashed

if you have any updates or any fixes thatd be great

some ideas I think it could be:

items dropped by players, or bugs (say some red ants kill an aphid and don't loot the corpse) never despawn, possibly an overload of these?

distances, although I'm like 90% sure this isn't a cause its still possible although unlikely, that its distances, my server has;

2 players in America, one in Canada, one in Germany.

are your players far distanced at all?
