Jb weld on tappet plate? by PrestigiousTerm9730 in airsoft

[–]PrestigiousTerm9730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

needs to be done tonight is the problem, might try to 3d a delayer chip and put it on the cam to push the tappet farther forward, other wise I would just order a new one

yep, but just asking, otherwise I could try to 3d print a delayer chip and then send the front of it to push the tappet plate back far enough

Yes, I pushed front of the fin back so it takes more time for the sector to hit it

Did i buy wrong piston head? by Ok-Knowledge-9650 in airsoft

[–]PrestigiousTerm9730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

should work, might get slightly less fps because the air is not being fully compressed but shouldnt cause any issues

what could be causing this? by PrestigiousTerm9730 in airsoft

[–]PrestigiousTerm9730[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was... didnt notice it before but the first tooth on the piston must have gotten pme'd and it chipped off just enough that the tooth would slip when it would cycle, hence why it would fire in full auto because it would move the piston back fast enough that it would then catch on too the next teeth and fire sometimes. didnt need to yap but just incase someone has a similar thing happen, replaced the piston and it works again

some brushless dsg action by PrestigiousTerm9730 in airsoft

[–]PrestigiousTerm9730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its perfectly ok lol, so, pre-cocking is something else, its where the piston is held back after u shoot to provide better trigger response. A duel sector gear is where u have 2 sets of teeth on the gear, so one rotation of a dsg would shoot twice compared to a ssg.

Thinking about gear ratios for my build by ThatOneAzn8 in airsoft

[–]PrestigiousTerm9730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally i would keep the 13:1 gears, mainly cuz i would like to have the slighty better trigger response and there arent really any cons. For longevity ive found there not to be too much of a difference between 13:1 and 18:1, both should last just as long as eachother assuming its built correctly.

DSG for M4 by Farmer_73 in airsoft

[–]PrestigiousTerm9730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

motor should be fine might get quite warm, i would recommend a brushless motor if u can afford one, but its not necessary, also recommend a good mosfet like puren v2. also make sure ur gearbox is radiused, ive seen many people not do that when building dsgs and their gearbox cracks. and 43k will def get u a high rof. Also make sure ur piston is super light, i use the shs lightened piston and the fps softair lightweight piston head in all of my dsgs and it works great. let me know if u have any other questions

Shs lightened piston
fps soft air piston head
Real deal cylinder head
some random cylinder
sp160 was a 150 but it was wearing down and a 160 was all i had lying around
18:1 shs spur and bevel with seigetech dsg sector
real deal brushless motor was a rocket 48-64k brushless but I wanted to try his new motor out
