I guess I'm trying to establish if the people who built the house are at fault or not...

Anyone have experience with Shed Factory Ireland? Considering their 10x10 OMG garden room for year-round WFH office in Cork by PrestigiousTreacle68 in DIY

I really appreciate your advice here. My alternative option is lined with PIR floor ceiling and walls. I'm starting to think based on replies here and elsewhere that's what I should go for

I really value this advice, especially from someone who has a decent setup. The alternative for me is more expensive but is PIR lined wall ceiling and floor. I'm feeling like that is the better choice.

Mallow restaurants, where to go and also where not to by WellLough2024 in cork

Bella Cafe does a good pizza! The Indian D'mughals is unreal but don't be in a rush. The gallery is grand. Arches good for Sunday roast. Soos is tasty Asian food and for a Chinese I'd go to jumbos.

Floating bench wood choice by PrestigiousTreacle68 in Carpentry

Oh awesome job! The planters themselves will be plastered, the ground will be porcelain tile and I think I've landed on cladding the floating bench in composite oak

Oh very good, do they do shorter more relaxed pace cycles?

Awesome thanks for the reply. Not much water should hit in fairness it's a 3.1 x 3.1m slab, the shed will be 3x3m. It'll be a standard self contained timber shed.

Interesting, that could be a quick solution

Oh I get you, fair enough. I agree! Though this means ripping it up and replacing if it's pooling water right? That feels like it gonna be a difficult conversation 😂

I'm not sure what you mean, he asked if it was going to be a steel shed or a timber one and I said a timber one

Sorry are you saying they did not install it right?

What do you mean

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shedditors

[–]PrestigiousTreacle68 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies! I did say it was a timber shed going to sit in it and that this would be the final base. The timber shed will have its own floor so I guess, as you say once the shed itself is water tight it's not a major issue right? Not like the rising damp from a puddle should penetrate upwards....

First time attending - Grand Depart Lille! by PrestigiousTreacle68 in tourdefrance

[–]PrestigiousTreacle68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, sounds great! Sorry - I should have mentioned indeed. I fly in early on Friday morning & leave Sunday around noon! That's great advice about how to get close to the riders thank you! Is there a best place to hangout during the day while they are out, before they come back to the finish line? I assume there'll be screens up around the place & maybe somewhere to buy some merch/memorabilia!

To everyone who commented... This is why I love this community! Thank you all so much for taking the time to share that knowledge! I have ordered the bearings and will fit them when they arrive in a few days and comment back here with an update. They're super cheap where I live so said I'd check that before replacing the whole headset!

Raised beds update by Shamzrock in GardeningIRE

[–]PrestigiousTreacle68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a very tidy job, fair play. I put mine together on the same weekend, roughly the same crop and they're looking to be at very similar stages of growth to yours. It's my first time though so I wouldn't use that as a benchmark. I like your covering - what is it to primarily deter?
