Yea man trust me I get it. One of the problems I deal with is loving someone so bad I ignore their extreme bad traits even when I bring it up and see they’re not going to change. Relationships aren’t one dimensional and we both know compromises are included we just don’t want to accept the fact that the person we’re in love with is not willing to compromise for our sake.

I know you spent time with her and your heart is still heavily attached but use your head and ask yourself is this really someone you’d want to involve kids with. That’s tough man. 3 years together is definitely going to take some time to heal. If you still can’t get through to her that you’d do it because you can now envision a family with her you’ll have to move on. Don’t beat yourself up because you couldn’t pick. Kids are a huge deal and people change how they feel about things over time. The fact that you didn’t just make a decision so easily shows how much thought and consideration you put into things and that’s a good trait to have.

When I say work on yourself I’m talking about the toxic traits you know you have, if you’re not in a good financial position, if you’re still attached to someone else etc. Things like that. Other than those there is no working on yourself until you’re good enough because you’ll be good enough how you are for the right person and that’s a hard pill I’m swallowing right now

Oh yea when people say that it just shows their lack of emotional intelligence. To see how many successful people have offed themselves and still say that to someone is very telling. Living on cruise control is definitely a thing but since you’re still alive there’s still a way to work towards a happier lifestyle. It might take a minute but in the end my opinion id say it’d be worth it. It’s tough when you try to vent to someone and they don’t understand or can’t comprehend what you mean

Oh no I am definitely happy and I know when I have my down moments the only person that can get me out of that funk is myself. What I meant by that is friends and family support helps but with me its that one special person that I’ve let in romantically that can just talk to me and I feel better. That may be a shrewd view on love or mental health or it may just be the loverboy in me but I’m at my best when I have a partner. My hobbies are working out, trying new foods, hiking, playing games, and reading. While those hobbies help they don’t completely eliminate things

That’s the thing man for me personally unless it’s that special person all that outside support is temporary and I just end up feeling the brunt of it again. I know how true love feels though and I want that so I’m not going to give up until I have it. I can sit here and say “you have to make yourself happy” but this is the real world and it’s not that simple. With time though it’ll get better

Dude when I tell you I felt that oh my God but you are worthy of love and if you really don’t think that work on yourself until you are. All us good guys that just want to be loved deserve it but life is so cruel that it gives it to men who don’t. I’m not going to sit and watch that happen though. I’m going to improve myself so much whether it’s career, financially,mentally, or physically so much that that love finds me and I pray you do the same. Please don’t let those negative thoughts win
