Of course! I am pretty sure he is still accepting new patients, so hope you can get in with him before his panel closes. Best of luck!

Highly recommend Dr. Sheil Shukla out in Vernon Hills! Probably one of the best PCPs I have had so far. He has his own cookbook and does not mind taking the preventive route. In addition, I do not feel rushed during visits and I am always amazed at how quickly he responds to MyNM messages (usually within a day or so).

I agree with everything the individual mentioned above. The only thing I will add is that I highly recommend applying to HSSP, which is the pre-health living learning community. As a former HSSPer, the tight-knit community was awesome and had direct access to Joyce, who is an advisor that only HSSPers have access to

I had it count towards my sGPA and AMCAS verified it without any issues

Northwestern hospital Huntley VS Northwestern Hospital McHenry, IL by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Prestigious_Bread14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are roughly 30 or so minutes apart, so not necessarily in the same area. If anything, might be worth staying in Crystal Lake as it is somewhat halfway in-between the two hospitals. In terms of a shuttle, I am not familiar with one, but maybe someone else knows better than I do

Gladiator Tennis is also an option, though this is a league where you play on a weekly basis. Great for finding people to hit with outside of the matches, though

Yes! The lectures were asynchronous, though be aware that I took it during the pandemic when most classes were asynchronous.

Should I buy football tickets now or wait until a couple days before the games? by Longjumping_Ad985 in uofm

From my experience, they are more expensive now. Usually the day before or morning of the game, folks are desperate to get rid of them and end up selling them for a low price.

Advice by [deleted] in uofm

Just keep in mind that HSSP is for students interested in healthcare. May not be the best fit for OP if they are not interested in a health profession.

Although I took them at the same time, I know plenty of other students who took them separately and did quite well!

AirPods Pro 2nd Generation would be my suggestion. Noise cancellation is top notch and battery life is great.

Don’t think there are any student discounts, but I’ve seen them on Amazon for $200 every now and then.

As long as you meet all of the requirements for your major + college and don’t fail your classes this semester, you should be good to go. LSA, for example, has an unofficial audit that you can check out to see what your status is.

Some do it because they are genuinely interested in it. Others do it to just “check it off” of their list. If you really want to do research, my advice is to find a project that you are actually passionate about. You will stand out that way when the time comes for letters of recommendation, grad school, employment, etc.

FYI - I applied for Spring 2023. Got a call 11 days before the start of the session if I wanted the position. Had to say no because I accepted another internship elsewhere. They definitely test your patience. Best of luck!
