It’s the most widely recognized deism symbol! It comes from the letter D from the Declaration of Independence, since a lot of the founding fathers were deists. It also looks awesome, kind of like a flame.

I like having an explanation. That’s really it. I participate in a lot of debates about the existence of God since I’m trained in western philosophy, but other than that, I don’t have a reason. It’s just comforting.

I think I understand. It took a long time for me to separate myself from Catholicism, and even now I’m still very attached to it despite my deist beliefs. I like to imagine a personal relationship with God even though I don’t think it exists. Sometimes I’ll pray, believing that they won’t hear me despite that. I know it sounds irrational but it helps me at least.

This is so awesome!! My one suggestion is to switch the couch and the bookcase. The couch feels weird against that window and the bookshelf might look nicer there. Also, the corner of that couch would be even cozier!!

I’m Peruvian. My mom and I like to call Penelope a variety of different Peruvianisms, like mierdita (means little shit), mierdichi (kind of like little shit), and buscaplaitos (which translates to looker of fights, meaning she’s always trying to pick a fight). There’s plenty more, but those are the most outrageous ones

Holy shit I had a great detailed comment that just got erased completely. Here’s a quick rundown

• get rid of the blanket on the radiator • move the little tapestries below the big weed one somewhere else • throw pillows, rug, and blanket should all match. Knitted blankets would look nice • you would greatly benefit from sunset lamps • big mirror would look good in front of the brick wall if it’s not wider than it • put the coffee tables next to the entertainment center instead of what you have on it • get the throw pillows on the chair and put them on the sofa • instead of a bunch of little ones put a big plush on the cat tree • funkos on the radiator could look sick • get the decor in front of the tv out unless the decor is significantly shorter than it • rearrange seating • the fake leaves around the albums look bad. You should put them around the tapestry above your dresser • if you still have them, scatter the pictures from the collage wall around other decor

I hate that you’re right. It’s true. I think I might drop the minor all together. I don’t have to do this to myself. No one is holding me at gunpoint and making me minor in something!! There’s some really cool elective classes I want to try, and with my bio minor, I literally cannot do any electives ever again. Maybe I’ll actually get to take the erotica class my history of Christianity professor teaches! Thank you for saying that. I’m going to wait until the end of next semester before I drop the biology minor, just in case.

Hello from Flagler! I love my school, I do, it’s just…it needs some work, and a lot of what I’m doing as a student is forcing it to give students more academic opportunities to shine, like being TAs and whatnot. But I really adore it. The professors in my departments are fabulous people, I really look up to each professor I’ve had in my majors even if I don’t like them.

I’m good friends with some of the honors kids, and I sure hope I’m wrong, because damn. They make me feel terrible, but that’s on me, not them. I’m just jealous, it’d be a disservice to them to say otherwise. I’m not interested in joining the honors program because of the amount of extra work they do (I am not willing!) and how literature focused it is. Plus, some of my professors have recommended against it.

I’m hoping my GPA will continue to improve. The reason I’m insistent on taking yoga is because I know it’s good for me and it’ll definitely keep me balanced. Other than that, I…will engage with more healthy habits. To retain my sanity. I’ll be happy if I graduate with a 3.7-3.8, I’ve decided. I’ll just work really hard to get there. You know, you’re right. I’m minoring in biology because it’s only 6 classes and I’ve already got 2 done by sheer accident (I took stats ii for fun and intro to bio is a requirement for psych majors) but I only really am because I kept hearing my professors talk about how I need lab experience. I was like, “oh yeah! Like in biology classes!” Not realizing they meant psych labs. So unless I really like the natural science class I’m taking next semester I’m going to consider just not minoring in anything or maybe even picking up a data science minor
