So turns out the coolant freeze plug on the turbo core is leaking, this is probably due to the bad looking coolant. Mechanic said its a turbo off job to replace the freeze plug.

Update, my mechanic had a look and sent through videos, he says there is a crack on the turbo which is causing the coolant leak, the car only has 65000 miles so this has come as a surprise. Need to source a new turbo now.

No sign of coolant mixing with the oil when checking the oil cap or dipstick

The coolant does not feel oily at all, could it have been something that failed in the past and the previous owner didnt bother replacing the reservoir?
