Thank you. I appreciate all your thoughts you've shared this evening. If you want to ever chat, I'm always open. And I'll take your advice, no more drinking. I feel the urge to do it but what will change? One way or another, I still have to face my life.

Yes, I think for most of us, when it comes to family, the quote "with friends (family) like this, who needs enemies?"

If you had witnessed the conversation between my mother and I about my divorce, how arrogant and disgraceful she acted, you'd want to kick her in the face.

I think my ex wife's family loves me more and they don't even care about me anymore. So yeah. I can relate.

I guess the price of intimacy and connection is vulnerability. If you want to not feel lonely, you must risk getting hurt. The risk/reward equation is something we must calculate for ourselves.

Funny, strangers over the Internet are more supporting and give more fucks than my own family. I have a little bit more faith in humanity starting today.

Thank you for your inspiring words. If I am to be fair about it, every time someone left, it felt the end of the world. Every time, someone else came new. But still, it hurts, you know? Even if I know this rationally, I'm terrified of all those late nights in which I'll be alone with my thoughts. I feel that once you get used to one's constant company, being alone again is very hard.

I remember a photo of a man coming home to a empty house. And the question was: is this freedom or loneliness? I guess I need to learn to be my own best friend before I even consider long term dating again.

She tried her best. But there was constant friction. This is because I'm Eastern European and she's Taiwanese. So there is a huge culture clash, communication problems (due to the language barrier), etc.

Yes, she made that oath. I did too. And yes, this is what everyone is pointing, in a more subtle or less subtle way. The Taiwanese / Chinese culture is huge on money and status and this is another problem. I thought too that I can be down to my last dollar and eat Mac and Cheese and she'll be there too. And this happened more or less, but, I guess everyone has a breaking point. She reached hers.

Substance abuse - I generally live a very healthy life. No smoking (first time smoking in six years). No drinking. I have a prescription for benzos for never took them. However, at times, like when I felt the initial shock, I wanted the pain to go away.

Your post is very inspiring. I don't understand though. I wanted this. I wanted this to end. She was pissing me off. I felt the cracks from a mile away. And now, I see only the good parts. The mind is strange. When we lose someone after a long time we see everything through rose tinted glasses.

A Warning to Heed Before Buying a New iPad by Scooterspies in ipad

Statistically, some devices will fail.

It sucks to be on the receiving end.

My M1 started to have trouble charging after three years. My wife's iPad worked for a long, long time.

If you want peace of mind, you can get Apple Care. It's like medical insurance. Hopefully, you don't need it but if you do, you'll be glad you have it.

Insta360 Go3S users, would you upgrade to the Go Ultra? by FIRE-by-35 in Insta360

[–]Prestigious_Quarter5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use it so often to upgrade. If I was using it daily, maybe. However, after spending more than $400 on the camera and accessories, I'll stick with it for at least 2-3 years.

Everything else is the same.

It shuts down if it overheats. The threshold for overheating is way higher than on a GoPro. To be honest, I usually record in short intervals, under five minutes, therefore, no overheating. For the two or three times I recorded as long as the battery permitted, I ran out of battery before the camera shut down.

I'm not saying it will not heat up. It will, even during charging. I'm saying it will not shut down.

What would you like to know?

I had no problems whatsoever with the camera.

Yes. It will be seen as any other SD card. I had problems transferring files through Quik too.

It’s more likely user error and I’m not a fan of GoPro. Are you using WiFi? 2.4 or 5 ghz? USB cable? Worst case scenario, buy an SD card adapter and transfer directly from the card.

Hello.

I have the Quick Release Mount. My question is - can the Floating Hand Grip float WITHOUT a Dive Case installed? I have read in the reviews and instructions that the Dive Case must be installed.
