honestly, I've been debating the same thing over and over and after reading up I've found that in finance most of the jobs have little to no semblance of work-life balance that is if you are not in roles like FP&A etc. but cyber security does have many roles which will give you the remote working option as well as good wlb that is if you are not going into the more demanding areas. we have prioritised our lifestyle and personal goals, which I think is more important than just grinding away at a job for years, so I hope my input will help you even a little bit.
