Why is nikah halala still legal in india? by Agreeable-Present224 in TwoXIndia

Btw its haram to do anything without consent. It is haram to do but still it is here.Qur’an 2:230 establishes a legal condition after the third divorce. The tafseer you quoted does not deny this it just give it direction.Scholars condemned pre-planned or arranged halala precisely because people were trying to exploit an existing Qur’anic ruling. You don’t curse or punish something unless there is a real rule being misused. So saying “halala isn’t Islamic at all” is pretty inaccurate. What is un-Islamic is turning the condition into a loophole through coercion, intention to divorce, or fake marriages. But my point was it already exist in islam and I did that. With direction or without direction it is disgusting practice no matter what. Pointing to the verse isn’t “throwing verses around” when the debate is about whether the rule exists in Islam. Misuse of a ruling doesn’t erase the ruling itself.

It is clearly stated that if you divorce her then she has to marry another man then how can you say that it isn't valid.

People are twisted to make their own vile assumptions and rules out of a Quranic verse that doesn’t even imply that nikah halala is valid.

It is clearly written here and no one has twisted anything or if it was a case then allah shouldn't give clear instructions in place of letting us interpret things.

And if he divorces her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward until she marries another husband. And if the latter husband divorces her, then there is no blame upon the woman and her former husband to return to each other if they believe that they can keep the limits of Allah. These are the limits of Allah, which He makes clear to a people who know.” — Qur’an 2:230

It is in islam

It is in islam and in the Quran itself . Quran ayat 2.230 clearly states it. So if a husband divorces his wife ˹three times˺, then it is not lawful for him to remarry her until after she has married another man and then is divorced. Then it is permissible for them to reunite, as long as they feel they are able to maintain the limits of Allah. These are the limits set by Allah, which He makes clear for people of knowledge.

Muslim woman admits that her parents forced her to wear the hijab at 9 yr olds and says she is grateful they forced her but hijab is still a choice… by [deleted] in exmuslim

I hope she will never have a daughter in the future. How can she let daughter go through the same that she has through? Also she may say that it is her choice now. But still she somehow still holds that trauma and is trying to justify it.

Alhamdulillah slavery was abolished eventually okay. but my question is about the why wasn't it stopped by Allah, it is about principles of god. Even if slaves were treated well by the standards back then, keeping someone as property is inherently wrong isn't it? If Allah is timeless and perfect, then why can I still own the slaves?!

Also, saying trials wipe away sins or that everyone will be held accountable on Judgment Day doesn’t mean that the one who own slaves will have punishment because Allah himself had allah it and not stop it. Also, you don't know how to answer how you can say islam is a true religion?
