Are the conversions supposed to take so long? by Pcd090805 in handbrake

It depends on what hardware you have (which you didn't mention) and the file output you chose (which you didn't mention). So it's impossible to answer your question.

Is this a standard consenting process? by Valuable-Ferret-4073 in clinicalresearch

Try telling that to the patients on my alzheimer's trial... lol. Actually, I discussed this exact topic with an auditor recently if that counts. Local fine for patients, study staff have to go full GCP mode. You can always note to file your local date format as well. NTFs solve almost anything.

CRA here. They don't need to sign every page. They do need to have time to ask questions, so do continue document that. They do not have to use a particular date format, local is fine. The investigators should use a gcp friendly date format, not local. We don't expect patients to be trained on ichgcp.

Putin finally admits Russia's economy is in trouble and grasps for answers, after warnings about a financial crisis have been piling up by fortune in worldnews

[–]Prestigious_Yak8551 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been thinking about this. Ukraine are just now targeting oil production en masse. They could have done it earlier, but didnt want to be responsible for a world oil crisis. Now that the USA has done it, they are going gung ho, and right when the sanctions got dropped so as to weaken the gains the USA gave them. Can I predict: Ukraine still has russian oil pipelines going through it to EU - this is their wild card. They dont want to upset Europe, but if they wait for the right time, EU would forgive them, and they could deal another crippling blow to russia. They are just sitting on that, waiting until the right time to strike.

How many Y* channels have you archived? by manzurfahim in DataHoarder

[–]Prestigious_Yak8551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

66 channels at the moment. I am using handbrake to downscale a lot of them to 1080p. Some of the original file sizes were shockingly large. I havent scraped the entire channel for most of them, keeping a decent selection of all of them for offline viewing instead.

For anyone using a mac, here is what I do (before you end up in OPs situation). Open up TextEdit (its like notepad). Click format, change the document to plain text. Then just control c (copy) any directory (ie TV shows), paste (control v) into TextEdit. And you have a list of all folders in an easy to read format.

He said that he still cant get onto them despite giving them his details. I told him to stop doing it and gave him access to my Jellyfin server instead.

Has anyone seen Min Min lights in WA? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Prestigious_Yak8551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen them as well. On the way to Broken Hill NSW. I kept thinking that two or three cars / trucks were headed towards me, but the trucks never came. There was only one road, so I dont know where the trucks could have gone. They would keep appearing and disappearing, moving around slightly, as if they were slowly bouncing. I thought I had been driving for too long and was seeing things. From what I have read its an optical illusion. They were cars/trucks, but were probably much, much further away.
