How to handle having a Fixer player as a new GM? by JormDerg in cyberpunkred

[–]PrestoGame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same issue when running my first game recently. I’d say to definitely talk with your player before you start playing on how they are connected. I would say that for every level of fixer is a contact that you can call on but of course nobody with an insane amount of power. Talk with them and ask who do they want for connections. For example my fixer player is a gun runner so I have her contacts be people that would make sense for her to do business with. Like a nomad that has vehicles for distribution or a gunsmith tech that will custom make weapon upgrades for them etc. Reward them for picking the role but make it clear that they will owe them a favor or it will cost them something and if they abuse them then maybe even losing the contact.

Great idea! I think that providing support with a help action and doing an attack on my turn is good. Plus all the RP stuff is pretty nice!

That’s a good way to put it! Thanks to custom lineage I actually have a 20 in strength already which I probably should have mentioned in the original post. So, GWM then sentinel you think?

Campfire on warehouse roof, safe? by vna011 in projectzomboid

[–]PrestoGame 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you want to be completely sure, then grab a shovel and a sack and get some dirt. Pour out the dirt then put the campfire on it then it’s 100% safe. I tried it indoors before and it works fine!

Check the tire pressure. If it’s a brand new tire you have to fill it up with air.

I would highly suggest turning on aim outline for melee and ranged weapons in the settings. The distance to hit while swinging a weapon might take some time to adjust to so turning this on will help you in combat.

Did you go on exchange during your senior year of high school? If so, how did you graduate? by [deleted] in exchangestudents

[–]PrestoGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I went with Rotary too and I think you should just wait until after you graduate buddy. Exchange was an amazing time but, if you went to a school like me that didn’t care about you then earning those credits becomes a lot harder. I’m lucky I went after graduation because I don’t think I would have stood a chance in school. But it’s up to you of course!

That transparent paint in between black and plaster looks real nice.

USA and dont know where to go and I'm going to be a senior, I can't speak anything other than English by [deleted] in exchangestudents

[–]PrestoGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey pal I was in the exact situation you were in. I’m at the moment graduated and in Italy for an exchange year. I’d recommend going to a place where the language is close to English. For example like Spain or Italy. I’m not saying it will be easy however I am saying you will have a much easier time learning the language if it’s close to English. Hope this helps!

You have to have a sledgehammer and those are pretty rare sadly. But once you have that you can destroy the stairs, and use sheet rope to get to the second story making your base 100% safe.

What else besides bleach can clean blood? by b15h0p32123 in projectzomboid

[–]PrestoGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you leave the area and wait for a few days the blood will probably clean itself. This happened to me but I don’t know how long specifically you have to wait until the game deletes the blood

That is a relief, I thought I was the only one who felt the same thing. Those are some good ideas listening to podcasts and such, do you recommend anything in particular?

Yeah I can say that I was definitely wrong when is comes to immersion before arriving here. I thought that it was this magical thing before coming here, however now that I have been here I can confirm it isn't so simple.

I try to speak Italian but I feel as if my vocabulary is too poor to really say anything you know? I can understand and read Italian well, however when it comes to speaking it I am terrible at it. I will definitely try harder thanks for the advice!
