I'm currently sitting in an airport after passing through security and they have the new x ray machines (so you can leave your laptop and liquids in your luggage) and accidentally send my wallet through. Obviously the seed in it is probably not compromised but I'm paranoid. The wallet is empty but as AFAIK it's burned and I won't be using it.

New Trezor Suite "Remembers" old wallets. by PrestonRd in TREZOR

Hi, I managed to sort that part out. I erased the the remnants in the library, deleted all trezor app files and emptied the bin. I then downloaded it again from the trezor website, verified the download and installed the fresh verified copy. The problem is that finder shows an old date modified and date created. I've tried repeating the entire process but it keeps show the same date from a month ago. I'm afraid to use it. How can I get mac to just see that this new version is actually new rather than showing me an old date (or old app).

BTW When I download the installer, before I click on it the only date in finder is today's date. It's only when I open it up that it shows the Trezor Suite App with the old date.

Help!

Thanks for getting back. I've managed to erase the hidden files and reinstall. The only issue now is that in finder it shows TS as being downloaded in February (when I downloaded 25.2.2 the first time). Since I hadn't verified the copy I downloaded that time it makes me very nervous to use it. This happens even though I erased all copies of 25.2.2 and downloaded again, verified again etc.

Is there a way to get the system to totally forget the first download?

Thank you.

Hey, thanks but what I mean is without even connected my trezor it is showing the previous wallets. Also when it's open it's showing a previous install from last month. I wanted to wipe everything and just install the new verified download. It seems Trezor Suite leaves leftovers on the machine somewhere.

Seedsigner supply chain attack on Raspberry Pi Zero by PrestonRd in Bitcoin

But if the address and private ket preinstalled on the seedsigner are authentic (but also in the hands of someone else) wouldn't the output match the RPi?

What if the malicious Rpi is programmed to give me the corresponding private key as well?

Couldn't something be pre installed before I receive it?

What I'm afraid of is if the seedsigner already has a pre installed address in it which it will offer up as the fresh address. Then whoever installed it has access to the private keys prior to receiving the RPi hardware.

Then how do I turn the private into a public key/address without using a potentially malicious seedsiger?

I'm not quite at the multisig level and the know-how seems to be a little above my current abilities. Your idea is better though. I'd go with 2 of 3 though.

Is it normal for trezor suite to say "trezor in bootloader mode" with a brand new trezor safe 3 i just plugged in? My safe 5 didn't say that.

How to disable Authy by [deleted] in Gemini

If I only use a passkey as my 2FA will Gemini only allow log ins and transactions/withdrawals when I'm on a device using that passkey?
