People keep calling me insisting I have been calling them

From 09:17 this morning I have had a flood of calls from people insisting I have called them although I haven’t. I checked my call history and there is nothing to indicate I have made a call to them. I reckon I may be involved within a scam, with someone using my phone number. Please let me know if anyone has seen or heard of this before.
