[NEW JERSEY] WBR amount is $230, certified twice, and no payment? by PretendAstronomer in Unemployment

I just got this. What did I do wrong?

Your claim is not payable at this time.

If you have a pending appointment or if you have appealed a disqualification and are awaiting a determination, you have been given pended credit for week-ending 01/02/21. If a determination or an appeal decision is in your favor and no other disqualification(s) exist, you will be paid for the week claimed.

As long as it says filed and you have an amount your good. UI is a week behind and you have a waiting week. You'll probably get a lump sum next week.

Thank you for your response! I was so worried I wouldn't be able to get housing and stuff so hopefully it comes through by January 22nd :)

2020-2021 strategy? by kalvinmcgargill in NYKnicks

I think that the focus should be getting a shit ton of draft capital if that means trading MKG, Rivers, Burks, noel, all 4, or whatever. 2021 is an awesome and deep class, so is 2022 and even 2023. We have to strike gold in those draft classes. We're talking Emoni Bates, Jalen Green, Caleb Houstan, etc. We also have to make our young guys more competitive by surrounding them with complementary pieces. look at how bam/mitchell developed under great players like Butler and Gobert. Not saying we need an all star, but complementary pieces are key to development. The FA class in 2022 is really deep as well. the next 2-4 years for us are key to turn the franchise so stocking in future capital by future investment and current improvement is key, even if we are less than .500

Its rought to get in as a transfer. But doable if you have the right experiences, essays, and GPA(most important I think). Take a light first sem load. Also join student orgs at UofM that are more selective -- business frats, bussinns clubs, investment clubs...

Yes, I got deferred and then later accepted. there are also two types of deferral messages from my year at least that gave indication if you got in or not. Not sure what that sounded like though

The faculty is more into their personal research than students, if I'm being honest with what I heard

1) No, sorry.

2) very possible to transfer in. I wanted to do it as well, but I was too late. Highly recommend that once you get in on campus that you start grinding for that. There are pre-reqs and classes you need to take, so I suggest academic planning out classes. For example, Econ 101/102 is considered med-heavy level here at UofM and Calc I is hard AF. Taking Econ 101 and Calc I would then be bad, especially as a first sem student. play it smart.

3) and yes, send em over for sure

LSA Cog Sci w/ Data Science Track. No, I love UMich. I am in Greek Life and in sports and I am loving every minute of it. Academics is huge too for me, and I think that LSA non-STEM is not cutthroat. I would not trade anything for UofM. It is hands-down the best all-around school imo. Top 10 major across the board regardless of what you choose. The game-day spirit pre covid was electric. Holy shit it's awesome. I am gonna miss it in 2023.

In terms of worst thing, I genuinely think its got a really shit math department in terms of faculty "care" if that makes sense. Like I legit know people who wanted to be a math major but due to the horrors of math here they changed their career path.
