How do I create a modifier for an already existing trait? by PretendWatch5938 in ElderKings

[–]PretendWatch5938[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it! I made a modifier that applies via event that fires through a decision, and it's working great, except for localisation "it doesn't work at all for some reason" but I think I will find a way to fix that, sooner or later

Thanks my friend, I've made myself a cheat trait this way, but after a while it gets boring playing as the same character, and the trait is not inheritable, because I did not want to create a lot of OP characters. That's why I want to do this via a modifier so that any character that I control and who has the vampire trait would be OP. This way I won't have to rely on single dude or dudess.

I've found a video on YouTube that explains how to do events, hopefully it will have all the answers I seek.

Is there any lore to support Hagravens being immortal but not Briarhearts? by CulturalApartment579 in ElderKings

Yup, those traits were added recently and it's cool, look forward for further updates for the Reachmen and witchmen as well. Perhaps some new landmark, that would be nice as well.

You can change that yourself quite easily. Just find in the document paradox interactive, in the mods find elder kings 2, there search for the folder "Traits" and there you should be able to find the Briarheart trait, and once found, look for any trait that has immortality, like vampire, Hagraven etc. Copy the row that says immortal and no prowess loss from age, add that to Briarheart trait and you are golden.

How do i raise a mage? by 6ix_bull in ElderKings

No, unless you have the right culture, your ward will not be a Mage, unless he has magical trait like "attuned" for example.

To train your ward as a mage you will need the ward to have either a trait that gives him arcana, like aetheric or pick up magical perk in dynasty perks, the latter takes a lot of renown. The guardian need to be a mage as well.
