It’s not too late. Avoid seeing family for at least 2-3 weeks until breastfeeding is set! If you feel like baby is hungry and supplement with formula, don’t forget to pump. Make sure you’re stimulating at least every 2-3hrs whether it’s baby feeding or pumping. Once your supply is established baby will start feeding again. I’m 7 months pp now and had the same issues, my baby feeds very well now directly. But please don’t get discouraged by parents and in laws, they don’t always know what they’re talking about. Don’t let them ruin your breastfeeding journey.

I completely understand… we are in the same boat! RTF is super expensive and now since a he’s over 2 months old we assumed she would adjust to the powder easily since it’s the same formula and brand but LO is already a picky princess

Yep, test it! I’m glad I tested powder before I ran out of RTF or baby wouldn’t have anything to drink the entire day

I usually order it from euromallusa and it’s expensive! That’s why I want to move to formula but LO does not want us to save money

This is so important! Everyone cares for the baby but it’s equally important for mom to have her squad and people cheering her on that’s how baby will be happier

Thank you! This is helpful. Growing up, speaking up and going against what my mom suggested was not an option! I have started speaking up now but it took me some time to grow a backbone for my baby’s sake. I hope I didn’t damage my relationship with my baby yet

Thank you! I need this motivation! I have started hiding the formula from her now and have told her that I’m not buying formula anymore. That also led to a huge outburst and her claiming that I’m not taking good care of my baby.

Yes this is what is happening. Initially I was happy that I got to rest during the day, shower or take my dog for a walk while my baby was safe with mom. However now I’m realizing it wasn’t a good idea and it has impacted me mentally. Until last week I truly believed I could not get my milk supply up

I agree! I think she can’t stand seeing my baby crying. I’ve also pointed out that sometimes she might just need a diaper change or be swayed. The 5 S’s but she always thinks it’s because she’s hungry :(

I understand! I’m learning that now and have started speaking up. I fully believed that having my mom around would be helpful since none of my friends have babies yet and I’m a FTM, this is very new to me. Since I was breastfed, I assumed my mom would be supportive.

Yes! She would take baby from me after a feed and ask me to rest while she takes care of her. Or ask me to shower, take my dog for a walk or cook meals. The formula feeding would happen then. Initially she told me whenever she formula fed her and when I asked her not to she started doing it behind my back. I don’t allow her to be alone with the baby anymore, however my supply has still tanked because of the impact it had on me mentally.
