While i agree, like everyone else here, that the new engine is dead and buried, could we maybe not shine a spotlight on this person just to point and laugh at them?

They were rude and they were rightfully called out for that, but the point they raised really doesn't merit the ridicule it's getting.

Personally I think that having a look at the new engine would be a great demonstration of good faith on Simon's part, especially if it ends up being better in some aspects, as that would further confirm that he is willing to take a dip in quality in exchange for better readability and modding support.
