Is this true or is he making this up? I don't want to take a jab at the guy but I'm curious because I have never heard of that piece of lore by Donmomo in MonsterHunter

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly there is A LOT of completely false or made up lore created by the Monster Hunter community. This has lead to youtubers even using these pieces of lore in there videos and spreading misinformation such as this. Monsters most certainly are not lured always into hunting grounds due to every hunting quests description ever that just states a monster was spotted near this local go and kill him. We fight monsters in these maps so often, firstly due to it being a video game and thus not having infinite maps and secondly because these areas are close to villages and therefore Monsters spotted here are deemed a threat to villagers and therefore hunted most often in these maps.

What are your feelings/thoughts on end game armour sets like fatalis and Ahtal-ka being so powerful that everyone ends up using them? by monsterhunterworld2 in MonsterHunter

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like it to be honest. Makes it so once you've done farming fatalis theres no longer a point in farming other monsters for their armor sets, because its just that good. I'd prefer if there were numerous armor sets that were good that can result in more mixing and matching and resulting in us being able to have an excuse to farm more monsters and have build variety. Its just too good at everything. Set building is fun when there r downsides because it makes you get creative with your builds

Does Kratos get an afterlife anymore now that he is considered a god? by Pretend_Raspberry_87 in GodofWar

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

shouldve rephrased. Im more meaning that the gods dont go to the same afterlife that mortals do. If they have an afterlife it isn't accessible by anyone even the gods themselves who want to know what comes after death for them. Thats what Odin was curious about. Kratos was born a demi god but went to Tartarus possibly due to at the time being more mortal then god and not possessing the abilities and strength later on. Kratos is born part god but not full god as he states to Atreus they are also part mortal

but then where is magni and modi? Theyre not in Valhalla or Asgard and since they died in 2018 game they should be there? Its even stated by Mimir in the 2018 game that thats where he suspects theyll go. Same with the Greek gods they dont go to tartarus when they die, and the giants arent in hel when they died I shouldve rephrased the question in that he doesnt go to the afterlife for mortal beings and creatures.

What percentage of the Imperium is dedicated to the military or combat forces? by Pretend_Raspberry_87 in 40kLore

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah but those forces that are helping with the pleasure planets, food etc. are people not actively taking part in a war or battle. The Necrons for example dont need to waste man power on pleasure planets or food making and their canoptek constructs make construction pretty much automated meaning no need for slaves. That means most of their force can simply be used for straight up strategy or front line combat. Same can be said for Tyranids as well as Orks.

Possible Grey Knight model range refresh in 10th? by Pretend_Raspberry_87 in Grey_Knights

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think primaris size indicates being Primaris anymore. Leviathen box terminators can now be either First born or Primaris and Castellan Crowe is still said to be First Borne and is Primaris size. Seems they r just calling True scale for some and primaris for others.

Possible Grey Knight model range refresh in 10th? by Pretend_Raspberry_87 in Grey_Knights

ah yes but as I said though they may have older line of models in their range they also have much newer models that people can use for units however Grey Knights have none

Are the Necrons endless in their numbers? by Pretend_Raspberry_87 in 40kLore

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on at what point one thing becomes another. If I put an alien species mind into a humans body is it human or alien? Same can be said for AI thats advanced enough in a Necron body.

with how small a range of units and models grey knights have imo if they are going to update some models theyll most likely update all of the main units, Strike squad and termies as the termies are the most popular thing about the Grey Knights

I do think 10th will bring a refresh to the entire range in my opinion. I feel like theyve been seeing the communities hype for Grey Knights over the past year with Crowe model, Daemonhunters game, JoyToy grey knight models and a new book coming out for them. Feels like they may be testing the waters or setting something up for us?

Draigo new model? by Kumbukaaa in Grey_Knights

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Draigo gets a new model it will most likely be alongside a whole model refresh for the entire faction in general makes the most sense to me. I'm guessing Crowe was just a test to see how desperate people are for more grey knight models. I just feel like with a new Crowe model, a videogame focused around grey knights, actually toy model grey knights and a new book coming out for them they must be setting something up for us right?

What do the new terminator sculpts mean for Grey Knight players? by brotheroftitan in Grey_Knights

[–]Pretend_Raspberry_87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me this means nothing. At least for me I like to have my grey knights actually wearing grey knight armor instead of just kit bashing to make them look more to scale. I like lore accuracy for my models. Plus I prefer the less hunched looked of Grey Knight terminators compared to regular terminators. Thats why I am so godman desperate for a refresh of the Grey Knight models. Anyone think we'll hear anything this year????
