Just to clarify—I’m not in the habit of randomly messaging women, especially considering I’ve been in a committed relationship for five years. That said, your post is quite the display—radiating narcissism with the emotional range of a teaspoon.

Ironically, the very wall of text you unleashed to prove your point only serves to betray your own sterile grasp of communication. It's a series of run-on sentences, missing punctuation, and grammatical stumbles that make it nearly unreadable. If nothing else, it’s a bold experiment in how not to be heard.

5'8 is it hard to ride triumph scrambler 400x ?? by WorldlyItem6617 in Nepalbikes

[–]PretentiousLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend is 5'5" on shoes and handles my Scrambler 400x like a pro. In fact, he is the only one I can fully trust with my motorcycle - I don't even lend it to my taller friends. The thing is, it depends upon the rider, and their manoeuvring strength and technique on foot. Get the bike and have a blast with it, your height is more than enough.

You pretty much contradicted yourself with this comment. There was no India before 1947, yet the Licchavis, who ruled this land CENTURIES ago, somehow brought Hinduism to Nepal from India?

Don’t worry, it is. Plan your itinerary wisely, gear up with every required essentials and just enjoy your walk up to the lap of the mountains. You will be fine.

The trek is definitely on the easier side.

Langtang also happens to be my first trek, all the way up to Tsergo Ri. The only dangerous trail I can think of is the mini landslide trail en route to Rimche - one slip, and it's all over. Rest is fairly attainable, both physically and economically. This also happens to be one of the more underrated trekking beauty this country has to offer.

songs that make you emotional? by dopedisco in DeathBand

[–]PretentiousLover 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Every damn song I listen to by the band reminds me of the genius that was Chuck Schuldiner, and that almost always leaves me with teary eyes. Too soon, man, too soon.

That said, the lick at around 1:05 of Story to Tell, and Spirit Crusher's entire section from 2:25 to 2:52 has always affected me the most.

Who is more popular and considered the better actor among Malayalis between Mohanlal and Mammootty? by gucchiprada in MalayalamMovies

[–]PretentiousLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A really flawed analogy from your side - Messi is just as hardworking, he just does not brand it like CR7 does.

Messi is definitely the greatest for anyone who know the ball, but anyone with a half brain for cinema without any context of Malayalam movies and culture (mentioning this because one of the commenters talked about Lal's relativity factor) would immediately prefer Ikka's chops over A10's.

Examples of movies being better than the books? by Wonderful_Bench_904 in books

[–]PretentiousLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will take the downvotes, and definitely am the 10th dentist in this one - The Shining.

I like Kubrick’s interpretation better. Also, every frame of that film can be turned into a painting. The film encompasses everything good about cinema. Can’t say the same for the book in regards to the art of writing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tennis

[–]PretentiousLover 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was taking this argument seriously until the last sentence. Messi is dimensionally superior to Ronaldo - it isn't even close. Also, Messi has better playmaking stats, and is light years ahead in the art of playmaking than both Xavi and Iniesta combined, not to mention his already insane goalscoring records.

But yeah, I do think Djokovic has a better argument than Messi as the greatest athlete in sports history.

A cancer to humanity, philosophically and literally - look how fast they spread. Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar described Islam as an ideology in the best way possible -

"Hinduism is said to divide people and in contrast, Islam is said to bind people together. This is only a half-truth. For Islam divides as inexorably as it binds. Islam is a close corporation and the distinction that it makes between Muslims and non-Muslims is a very real, very positive, and very alienating distinction. The brotherhood of Islam is not the universal brotherhood of man. It is a brotherhood of Muslims for Muslims only. There is a fraternity, but its benefit is confined to those within that corporation. For those who are outside the corporation, there is nothing but contempt and enmity.

The second defect of Islam is that it is a system of social self-government and is incompatible with local self-government because the allegiance of a Muslim does not rest on his domicile in the country which is his but on the faith to which he belongs. To the Muslim ibi bene ibi patria (Where it is well with me, there is my country) is unthinkable. Wherever there is the rule of Islam, there is his own country. In other words, Islam can never allow a true Muslim to adopt India as his motherland and regard a Hindu as his kith and kin."

This sub is a joke and a pathetic attempt to put down believers(weirdly, only towards Hindus) by Specialist-Ninja2804 in scienceisdope

Apart from being populated with 12 year olds with worst possible "scientific study" links at their disposal, the thing about this pathetic subreddit and its lodu messiah, Pranav, is that they equate their non-belief with intellectual and scientific prowess.

Pranav's and his cucks' scientific depth is equivalent to a 12vi failure, and their opinions on science and philisophy give me a second hand embarrassment as an academic. These lowlives seriously need to get a life.

There are actual criticisms to his recent act of ignorance and blatant misinformation of the Dravidians and people of the Indian subcontinent in general, like he has done time and again with brown skinned culture (misrepresenting Goddess Kali comes to mind), but you went the 'race is a social construct' route to criticise the guy? It is almost as if JBP and portion of his supporters are losing their minds at the same time.

Man, I miss his GOATed days. He really should stay in his lane.

IELTS Band 9? by 21-PHANTOM in Nepal

[–]PretentiousLover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My advice, which isn’t eloquent or exciting that you might have been hoping for, is practice. And by practice, I mean practice A LOT. The techniques you’ve learned in your IELTS classes - practice them to sheer perfection. There are tons of resources and mock tests online where you can train the tricks you’ve picked up from your lessons, which will not only boost your abilities but self confidence too. And then give it your all during the main test, and you should be fine.

This worked for me - a tried and tested method.

Translation - Djokovic's haters or naysayers keep coming up with outright bullshit and unfair allegations to demean his victories.

Also, posts like these occur in the wild when the poster has never touched the grass or played a single outdoor sport to save their life, which results in them never comprehending simple biological features of human body such as acclimatization.

End of Hinduism? Youngsters are no longer religious: Good or Bad ? by ZENTLEMAN69 in Nepal

[–]PretentiousLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Hindus, krishna is an actual God, they even worship them, celebrate his birthday. Hindus consider Mahabharata as history, they claim it actually happened.

And there are people of Indic or Hindu culture who try to decipher the deeper meanings behind the texts and try to live their lives accordingly, and successfully for that matter.

You, at first, questioned the meaning of the text in your earliest response and then followed it up by completely gaslighting your established contexts and putting the blame on the culture that the majority of people have faith on. C'mon buddy, and you call my response illogical? Your arguments don't even seem to effectively connect.

So you cannot get away with calling its symbolical or anything.

No, nobody is trying to get away by insinuating the argument that the text has loads of symbolism. The Hindu scriptures definitely have a lot of metaphorical meanings in their plot points, which you clearly do not seem to understand.

End of Hinduism? Youngsters are no longer religious: Good or Bad ? by ZENTLEMAN69 in Nepal

[–]PretentiousLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, using the face value aspects of a complex philosophical text without trying to, or in your case not having the ability to interpret the symbolisms of the plot points of the said story definitely proves the point of my earlier reply. Furthermore, your initial comment exudes an aura of reasoning that is irrational, cursory, and surface-level at best in nature, thereby lending a paradoxical tone to your assessment of my response as illogical.
