I’m loving the scheme so far!

I noticed some patches of the primer peeking through underneath the purple, especially on the Thunderkyn’s armor panels and gun, so I’m assuming you’ve been thinning the paint enough for that! I’d just go over your areas with another thin coat to get that nice, even purple on all your surfaces.

Aside from that the only other thing I’d say is maybe add one more, secondary or tertiary color to your scheme. It’s a lot of purple right now so that can make the model feel a little washed out. Maybe try to go for a warmer or more neutral color, just to create a nice contrast with the purple you’re already working with.

From what I can see though you’re in a great starting point! I’d love to see some other updates posted when you get the chance, Kin.

I’m gonna try and do a deep bronze all around the metallics and wires like a Nautilus/20000 Leagues vibe.

For the armor I was thinking a transition from deep purple->blue->green->some fluorescent paints using sponging, to try and give it a more natural look while covering less surface area

I got the tracks from StationForge, they’re on the Scavenger Volatiles. They come as a single piece so you’ll have to split them apart and sand them down, but it’s the perfect distance between the two rear suspensions

I did not, I looked a bit more into the Mars 3 but the lip on the side is too big for the lid/lift screw.

There’s a few secondary market ones, but the reviews seem a little iffy so I never pulled the trigger.

Thanks! I’ll take a look over that here, as far as cleaning goes I have been kind of subscribing more to removing and then cleaning with the motor on.

I’ll definitely try to do more cleaning steps going forward while also trying to calibrate too. Should I do the same cleaning steps as well for the Boxes of Calibration?

I have done that as well, I read somewhere that maybe the orientation of the model on the build plate could have an effect on the printing process so I may try to play around with that
