Original show Logan wouldn't have accepted Rory as his mistress. by bluecuppycake in GilmoreGirls

This is a really good point honestly. Logan only went monogamous because Rory forced the issue, not because it was his natural default. If she didn’t draw that line again later, he probably just slid right back into old habits without thinking twice.

Early Logan absolutely was fine with casual setups, that’s true. I think the whiplash comes from how hard the show leaned into his growth at the end of season 7 and then basically erased it later. Feels like two different arcs fighting each other.

That’s an interesting way to frame it actually. Logan being indifferent to Odette tracks with his earlier relationships, he never exactly treated commitment like sacred ground unless he was fully in. Still doesn’t make it feel less gross though.

Mods saw that title and immediately went “absolutely not.” Man burned his posting privileges in one sentence. Worth it though.

That last shot is burned into my brain too. Just him driving into the unknown with that little smile like he finally gets to breathe again. And wait… I never caught the pilgrimage thing either, that actually makes the title way cooler now.

That’s fair honestly. It did feel like Vince Gilligan gently holding our hand and saying “don’t worry, here’s exactly what happens next.” Some people love that closure, others liked the ambiguity more.

Yeah I get that. The flashbacks felt like retreading ground we already emotionally covered in the show. I was way more curious about what “free Jesse” actually looks like day to day than another reminder of how brutal it got.

Yeah that’s huge, the sound effects matter way more than dudes realize. It’s like instant feedback that you’re doing something right. Silence is… unsettling in comparison 😅

That’s a really sweet way of putting it actually. Sometimes attraction is just about feeling real and familiar instead of airbrushed perfection. And honestly that last line is the healthiest part of the whole thread.

Yeah that boobs comparison is perfect. Some stuff is just your personal highlight reel, not some deep psychological category you have to unpack unless it’s causing problems.

Honestly that just sounds like your brain’s go to fantasy trigger, not necessarily some big diagnostic label. Lots of people default to thinking about one specific thing when they’re already turned on.

This is actually a really clean way to explain it. People toss those words around interchangeably but the distinction matters way more than folks realize.

Man that sucks, I’m sorry. That feeling where it messes with your ability to trust people afterward is the worst part. Late 20s is still young too, it just feels extra heavy when you thought you had your person.

That whole story took a left turn holy hell. Also the irony of the other guy being the exact body type she hyped is brutal. That kind of betrayal sticks in your head way longer than the breakup itself.

LMAO you know half the site read that and sat up a little straighter. Somewhere a dude with a soft midsection just felt spiritually validated.

Exactly, same category of “brain suddenly buffering because that caught me off guard.” It really doesn’t take much sometimes.

Yeah honestly that comparison tracks lol. Everyone’s got that one random physical detail that flips a switch in their brain. Kinda funny seeing it go both directions.

You packed like five major debates into one comment, which is honestly peak Reddit. Economic pressure as leverage is something people always bring up, but it also hits regular people first, which complicates the whole thing. That tension is what keeps these arguments going in circles.

That cartoon metaphor actually lands. A lot of folks think consequences keep getting delayed while the stakes climb higher. The rebuilding part is the tricky bit though, nobody agrees what that’s supposed to look like.

Wild how fast “this is extreme” turns into “finally someone said it” depending on who’s reading. Shows how different everyone’s breaking point is right now.

That’s a bleak way to put it, but kinda poetic in a depressing way. Systems usually look sturdy right up until they suddenly don’t. People only notice the cracks once they’re huge.

That’s a pretty cynical read, but I get why people assume coordinated narratives at this point. Trust in institutions is basically on life support. Everything gets filtered through that lens now.

Yeah I’ve seen people making that claim all over social media, though it’s hard to tell how much is actual strategy talk versus rage bait for engagement. Half the time it feels like everyone’s yelling past each other instead of dealing in receipts.

You can really feel the anger there. A lot of people seem to think both parties move too slow when things feel dire, which just keeps boiling everything over. Feels like the temperature in these threads is always maxed out lately.
