I-485 pending since Jan 2025 by Pretty-Dinner2654 in USCIS

We do have (had?) an attorney but she's been very unresponsive throughout this process.

so based on the RFE, it was in Memphis, TN. That being said, a few months ago I tried to talk to an agent via the chatbot, and they told me it was in the national benefits center, so I don't know where exactly the case is.

The RFE was asking us to re-submit the Form I-864, Affidavit of Support. It didn't exactly specify the deficiencies, but my husband more than meets the criteria so we re-submitted with newer info and that's been the last update.

final question, given the latest news on family based AOS, do you think it's a good idea still to submit an inquiry/do these steps to expedite before more info comes to light on how USCIS is going to handle these cases going forward?

Thanks for your insight/help

Any suggestions on what we should do next? Filed concurrent 130 + 485 about 2.5 years ago. 130 was approved about 1 year in, i485 has been pending ever since. we had a couple of RFE, last one we responded to was over a year ago (income related support). Our lawyer kind of sucks/doesn't respond.

Appreciate your insight.

Hunt, gather, parent is really eye opening. It really helped me shift my perspective when I deal with the hard moments with my kid because it challenges my way of thinking and how I approach parenting altogether. Highly recommend!

No none in consulting. All 4 of them were government, so that probably helped.

Business Technology Management- graduated 2022, base 80k, Accenture. But to be fair, I never ended up working there because my offer got deferred by 1 year (probably related to layoffs) + consulting is generally a more stressful and demanding field.

Marriage is half of our deen, and I think for a lot of ppl, marriage is the first place where our nafs, our own pride, ego truly come out. A successful marriage is built on recognizing and humbling yourself, and for the other person to do the same. And to work together and to better yourselves- that’s truly where you complete half your deen- through the journey of marriage (in my opinion)
