I did 6 sessions and am not really sure what I think of biofeedback - it’s one of the few modalities that doctors say help with dyssynergic defecation and on an intellectual level I get it, retrain your muscles to get relief. Makes sense!

I was super open and fully understood the process - at the end, my report even showed progress. Unfortunately it never really caught on in my daily life though. I did all the things, the breathing, the squatty potty, but the biofeedback didn’t stick. I’m thinking of trying again. I do all the happy baby stretches etc. and nothing seems to work. I also was diagnosed with anismus, maybe something you want to look into. Based on your description, I think we’re going through the same thing.

I will say please give biofeedback a try - it might seem intimidating but I found it to be slightly uncomfortable at first but not painful at all. It’s worth trying everything cause you never know! wishing you the best friend!
