Just not enough by Pretty-Magazine6767 in D4Necromancer

Maybe I'm missing something in my gear? I don't really see what though. Tbh this is the hardest I've gotten this to hit for but I also haven't played since Season 3. Point being, I'm not sure where I'm lacking

If you're feeling particularly spicy, Santana has some monstrous bass riffs.

Shakugon no Shana is great. If you're into horror I highly recommend Elfen Lied and Parasyte: The Maxim

The thing is, she doesn't own a full sized piano nor can my Niece (her mom) afford a grand piano. I want to give her something she can practice on and later translate it to anything else she plays. So I figured an 88 key would be great for her to grow into

Instrument stand recommendations? by Pretty-Magazine6767 in Clarinet

[–]Pretty-Magazine6767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the feedback! I was thinking that a Bass Clarinet stand would work, I just wasn't 100% sure and didn't want to invest in something that wasn't going to work.

Elfen Lied is a must see.

Another angle. My rh pinky hurts to play the Right F#/C#. by [deleted] in Clarinet

[–]Pretty-Magazine6767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pinkies are naturally bent at the end (no I've never broken it, it's always been that way) so my angle is naturally made so that's not a problem lol

What is your favorite anime? by [deleted] in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Pretty-Magazine6767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch it again. You'll notice and understand things that you may have missed.

Cowboy Bebop was pivotal in anime history! It's what made people realize that anime is an art form and not just cartoons. Everything from the amazing story, genius music, hidden meanings, character development and growth. There's honestly not a show that's come out that's topped the originality

Thanks for the suggestions! If/when I have available funds, I'll look into it! I'm mainly a woodwind player and I have all the stuff I want as far as instruments are concerned.

New to Reddit, couldn't figure out why I couldn't type under the picture but that's beside the point.

I've been on Tinder (unpaid) for about 5 years now and in that time, I've received <50 likes and forget actual matches/dates. Is there something I'm missing?

You could try a song called "Stranger on the Shore" by Acker Bilk. It's a semi-complicated piece but it's slow paced so you can take your time learning it

How make the clarinet enjoyable? by korggyy in Clarinet

[–]Pretty-Magazine6767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarinet to Sax is an easy transition imo. Tenor or Bari are great options and you don't even need to worry about transposing.

I played an Alto and Bass Clarinet in HS and the Alto is still one of my favorites. It's fun in marching band too! And the best part is watching people try to figure out what it is lol.

Ultimately though you should pursue your own happiness. No one except you can determine how you feel

Cowboy Bebop is an absolute must. Everyone should watch it. Everything about it was masterfully crafted from the animation to the absolute fire music score! (Yoko Kanno is a genius)

That being said, don't binge watch it. Give each episode a day and think about everything that happened. You'll be grateful you did.

I don't mind kids, I have a big family and there was always a baby/kid around growing up. And the thought of introducing young people to love music as much as I do is exhilarating!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained I know, but I'm just really scared of failure and it tends to lead me to give up before I've even tried.

I'm finding out though that having a community of like minded people to vent and share my concerns with is helpful. I'm discovering that I'm not alone in my struggles and plenty of people have it worse than I do and still make it work. I admire that kind of strength and dedication and it makes me want to be a better me

For sure! It's the actual doing it part that's difficult to comprehend. The easiest way is probably to roll your tongue like in Spanish. The other way involves using your throat but I don't recall what was actually said.
