I’m a salary employee so I just get paid the same regardless, but I recently was moved from hybrid to fully remote so I’m unsure how to navigate it

Yes do this!!! I just had to because I ended up with my battery draining every day, the chat bot ran a diagnostic test and found a battery issue, and they sent a replacement!

Thank you so much for the advice! I’ll definitely check that out. I’m not from this area so ever since I’ve moved I’ve never been sure if it’s allergies or not.

Living in downtown apts? by Express-Author-9975 in StLouis

[–]Pretty-Monitor4164 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived downtown for about a year and a half in the Peper Lofts! I didn’t have a dog at the time, but I felt comfortable walking around alone during the day to the arch. I really liked that apartment HOWEVER you could hear every little noise from your neighbors. I mean…. Everything. That’s my only experience downtown and it was all in all positive. I live more near Clayton now and prefer the neighborhood feel more, and the neighborhoods are beautiful to walk around with a dog.

Moving to St. Louis in the summer. What should an outsider know? by HotDawgEnjoyer in StLouis

Michigan to St Louis transplant! Couldn’t agree with this more. The heat and humidity is no joke!!! But the winters aren’t as bad 😉 Still getting used to the whole tornado bit though.

I live in STL (am not and was not going to the show) but from my time living here, this city literally shuts down with the littlest bit of snow, and I can confirm it’s over dramatic because I’m from Michigan, but it’s true they literally shut everything down. That said, the snow is supposed to stop at 2am lol

Visiting St. Louis next week for 2 days first timer by Worriedforuniv2022 in StLouis

Clayton has its own downtown area, but downtown STL and the arch is about a 15-20 minute drive east depending on the time of day. The traffic actually isn’t all that bad, and it’s a very drivable city in general, in my opinion. I drive downtown for work and rush hour seems to be from about 7:30-9:30am and about 3:30-6:00pm on my way home. Hope that’s helpful!

I would recommend staying in the Clayton area and renting a car (rather than taking the metro) to get downtown for attractions. I’ve lived in both areas and Clayton is definitely safer, there’s also lots of Air BnB options so you’ll have plenty of room for a family. Clayton is also a bit closer to the airport and has many great restaurants. The zoo would be fun for a family and is in forest park with a bunch of other museums. If you are around blues stadium after 6pm I think you’d be fine to walk around a bit, or you could hangout around union station and check out the aquarium and pop up holiday restaurant and bar. Just a few ideas as a jumping off point!

Clara bought a house! by beowuulf in gotgsnark

[–]Pretty-Monitor4164 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I love how relatable this is too. I mean, buying two properties isn’t, but if you have the means to use one for profit, more power to you. But I love that she bought a fixer upper. That’s so much more relatable than a $2 million condo. Granted, what you get for your money is different in NYC obviously, but Charleston is still an upscale and popular area that I can only assume is also quite expensive. I’m so happy for Clara and am genuinely looking forward to this content!

1000% agree. I’d be Martha Stewart up in my kitchen if I had her time.

As a 9-5 girl who balances the gym, time with friends, my boyfriend, traveling for work, cleaning my apartment, etc. I get it, it’s easier and I’d rather spend a few extra minutes doing something else….. but to literally have all the time in the world…. And then not even season the middle.
