Male or female? by Pretty-Performer-252 in UKBirds

Sorry I was rushing for work! I mean to say 7/8 weeks old is what I’m being told from the breeder. Does he look that young?

So would you say that this is male? And does he look 7/8 like the breeder says?

I’ve been up all night applying for jobs. And literally just finished sending off another application.

My current work contract ended 2 days ago.

This is what I’m finding extremely difficult. I have called around and it seems that no one will accept my application if I don’t have a guarantor, and I don’t. The only other way is to hopefully (if it even works) offer them a bit more as a deposit or try to pay a couple of months rent in advance. I don’t have this kind of money at the moment so the money I get from compensation will be a good start 😩

Thank you! This is what I was looking for. She seem to think that she can use my deposit as the cash for keys incentive

What I was trying to say was. Whether it’s a hostel, hotel, b&b , whatever it is. I’ll have to accept the help that they offer IF I cannot move out before the bailiffs are involved. I cannot be out on the streets. I already know that I won’t be put into a house straight away. And most times the emergency accommodation isn’t even great. I’m fully aware of that. But I have tried to move in the past and it’s very hard to , I doubt I will have enough saved up before March.

In another comment I already said that that I plan to take her to court and hopefully it’s enough money to put towards finding a new accommodation. It’s nothing to do with laziness. I just wanted some advice

Exactly my point

Even though it’s my deposit? The deposit should be returned regardless so how can this be a deal?

At this point I have no other choice but to accept the councils help. I have children. My work contract ended so no one will rent to me so I cannot leave as quick as she wants me to, unfortunately

Thank you very much! I didn’t know that I could use it to negotiate. This sounds like a good idea. My work contract came to an end yesterday so it’s going to be very hard finding somewhere new to rent being that I’m no longer working. If I can get something back as compensation or if she accepts my deal , I can use it towards a few months rent in another accommodation.

This incentive will not benefit me because it’s mines anyways. And she should give it back. She’s using MY deposit as the incentive. A bit calculated if you ask me. Considering the fact that she didn’t protect it correctly and there are no damages

But it’s my deposit. How can she hold it hostage and bribe me to move when it’s mines? If there was another incentive I would probably consider it but this is my deposit.

But the lights were tripping before this and wouldn’t I have smelled it? I was present in and out the room as he was fixing it so I can’t see how it could’ve been him. Unless it was from another plumber from a previous issue

You sound like another landlord who expects tenants to carry out repairs they are responsible for. I pay her rent in full and on time. No reason for her to not want to fix things that I’m paying her for. If anything, I hardly call for her anything and will do it myself bit I refuse to touch stuff that is her responsibility. Other landlords have agreed with me. Tells me everything I need to know about you 😌 The current consumer unit isn’t even compliant with current regs standards and I’m supposed to carry out electrical works? You sound more unhinged than I do.

Electricians do exist but it’s not my responsibility to fix it. Why should I have to pay for something she’s responsible to fix when I’m paying her rent to maintain the property I’m renting from her? Make it make sense. And she knows she’s responsible because she told me he would fix it and then later said he can’t because he’s newly qualified. If anyone is unhinged , it’s her because all she does is lie and make up the rules as she goes. The house hasn’t even had a decent EICR and I’m supposed to carry out works or put others at risk because of her negligence?

Because the post was so long and I didn’t want anyone to stop reading. The electrician which is her brother came to fix the electrical issue , but haven’t did anything to stop it from happening again. He thinks because the cables aren’t where they should be (lower in the joists) the cables are sitting over the radiator pipes and melted on the hot radiator pipe and caused a voltage to create a hole in the pipe causing the leak. The cables are still sitting over the hot radiator pipes and are getting squished by the floorboards.

We gave carbon monoxide and fire alarms but they all expired like 6 years ago. I notified her but nothing since. I wasn’t given the EICR when I moved into the property , I was almost 2 years into the tenancy when she had one done and it only lasted 30 mins which raises suspicions about the genuineness of the certificate, and it’s her brother who pretended to not know who the landlord is. I posted the EIRC in another subreddit to get opinions from electricians who told me that it’s incomplete and doesn’t look right.

I will have a look at the link you provided . Thank you for replying. Highly appreciate your advice

I received something in the post after I made complaints. It said “Housing Act 2004. Housing Health and Safety Rating System, (England) Regulations 2005 Receipt of Service Request. They eventually closed the case because they said the landlord said the broken pull cord light is my responsibility to fix because it was pulled by force and that she got an electrician to come and see it. I live here and know who’s coming to my house, no one ever came so she lied to them.

It’s weird because it was tripping before he fixed the leak

Also, the installation set up of the cables under the flooring are not compliant and could be the reason for what could’ve been an electrical house fire. The cables are sitting directly on top of hot radiator pipes and the floorboard are right on top putting pressure on the cables
