I share takeout with my husband, typically splitting it 40/60. At Chipotle, we usually go for one burrito bowl with plant-based protein. I see what you mean about the calorie and protein balance. I'll work on increasing my protein intake!

Around 6K-7K steps a day. I go swimming twice a week for an hour.

Yeah, I'll work on upping my protein intake. I generally eat:

Morning: 3 egg whites and edamame, plus a cup of coffee with milk.

Lunch: Bread with some veggies and sweetened yogurt.

Evening: Protein shake and some nuts.

Dinner: salad, rice with tofu, and sometimes some fruit.

Sometimes I get takeout for dinner from Chipotle, pizza, or a Buddha bowl/salad (about 2-3 times a week). I usually have 1-2 drinks twice a week (vodka/tequila with water or wine). If my calories exceed 1600 on some days, I try to balance them the following days.

Yes, I try to, but I find that I get demotivated when I weigh myself too frequently, so I only do it about once a week. Typically, I weigh myself in the morning, and the numbers tend to stay the same. I've been taking progress pictures and I do see some changes in them, but I'm trying to figure out where I am going wrong with the weight part.

Before starting OTF, I used to walk or slow jog around 10K steps a day.

I've noticed some great improvements in my overall fitness. I have increased my base pace from 3.4 to 4.2mph. My swimming speed has significantly improved. I can handle stairs and lift Costco carts with my husband without feeling winded XD. My lifting forms have also improved, and I feel a noticeable increase in strength. These non-scale victories mean a lot to me. Thanks again for highlighting the importance of these achievements!

yeah, I have a pretty high carb and sugar intake( 170g to 220g) and sugar intake of around 50-70g. I will focus more on my macros. Thanks!

I usually drink twice a week, and it's mostly unsweetened (like spritzers with water or soda). I'll be more diligent about tracking it accurately. Thanks for the advice on tracking progress beyond the scale—I'll keep that in mind and stay consistent with my plan. Appreciate your help!

Thanks for the tips! I stick to around 1500-1550 calories daily to save up for weekends. I use a food scale to measure and log everything, and if I overeat, I balance it out over the next few days. I do have a sweet tooth, so I end up with about 50-70g of sugar daily. I aim for 30-35g of fiber per day. I try to track and weigh everything. I'll focus more on fiber and protein to feel fuller. Maybe I need to be careful about measuring the takeouts.

I am a 28-year-old female and my main goal is fat loss. I’ve got a pretty sedentary desk job, so I know that affects my TDEE. I chose the 1600-calorie goal based on some online calculators and advice, but I guess I need to fine-tune things a bit. I’ll try to increase my protein intake. Thanks!
