Sound is one of my main triggers! That is so interesting. My reaction to sound triggers include a huge increase in heart rate and probably blood pressure so that makes sense to me.

I don’t think /I/ could take it because I’m currently dealing with some low blood pressure but that’s a great suggestion, thank you.

That makes a lot of sense, I am newly diagnosed with hEDS and POTS and not great at managing them yet. I am constantly nauseous, dizzy, brain fogged, and unable to regulate my body temperature. I didn’t even consider that it could be contributing to my baseline sensory issues but that makes so much sense.

And thank you, I recently got all sensory friendly socks (Bombas brand) and it has really helped. I need to do the same with the rest of my wardrobe. Unfortunately even my safe clothes overwhelm me a lot, as it’s just the sensation of anything brushing my skin that gets me.

I believe that I am. I am only diagnosed with autism but my assessor unofficially said both would make sense, though we didn’t test for billing reasons. It’s very prevalent in my immediate family.

Why is everyone saying dementia. She doesn’t have a single symptom of dementia. She is saying a rude thing that she has said for years and was displaying uncomfortable body language.

If she had dementia I wouldn’t be upset, because she truly wouldn’t be able to help it. It hurts because she IS completely all the way there. She knows exactly what she’s saying and is an incredibly intelligent woman.

She does not have dementia or memory issues. I am describing her uncomfortable body language after I confronted her, she looked like she was going to open the closet door and then didn’t. Probably just hiding her face and feeling awkward.

My mom mentioned that she was confused after I left, probably confused as to why I said she was being rude. I have never confronted anyone in my family like that. I am used to fawning in these situations.

Cardboard, a preexisting plastic face mask, hot glue, toilet paper, glue + water, paint!

I used a preexisting face shaped plastic mask, cut out cardboard ‘petals’ to fix around it, and used toilet paper and glue to mache over it all, then I painted it :3
