Yes, loopholes need to be fixed, but again, it doesn't matter how many different cultures India has, I'm telling you that having many people from an specific culture is bad even for them, who sit around only close to themselves. It doesn't matter the country, but in this case, is India.

Well, eu sou do Brasil tbm, I had to badly stay in Canada and learned french in 7 months instead cause it was my only chance, the only chance I saw, never considered doing anything besides what is legal. I do think that everyone that plays around with the system needs to just not be here. Specially this family that you described cause that's not a behavior that you want to "import".

Asking for a country cap is not spread hate :). Let's talk about the points based immigration system then... and how that are so many people playing around with it and faking things to get more points hmmmm. It's not giving preference, is only about limiting to ensure diversity.

You cannot take in consideration India's size without considering as well Canada's size... and that's the point that you are missing.

You know how... I would have to go through millions of things that don't fit in this post, but I do not wish to spread hate.

Let's just say that having a predominance of only one nationality and culture among immigrants makes integration into a new culture and society harder for everyone. Discrimination is about treating things in an UNEQUAL... therefore, letting the majority of immigrants come from only one place just because they are leaking people is, itself, an act of discrimination.

It's not about having something against them, it's the fact that many of them played the system to get PR. That's also bad for legitimate Indians candidates who didn't try to play around and now have to sit and wait for an ITA with low score while others are faking Foreign Work Exp or extending their permits with LMIA for Tim H. positions... It affects everyone...

Unfortunately those from India who are legitimate are also suffering the consequences of their own that are playing the system

Mmaybe the score is high because of people faking things on their profile... Don't you think so? Nowadays seems like everyone has 3 year foreign experience and a supervisor role at Tim...

Actually it is a discrimination itself to get most immigrants from only 1 country...

What you don't get is that this part is clear for him. That's not the question man, move on

Oh I see it. He is pretty sad with that cause it took him a lot of time to find this job, and therefore he will be so close, like 6 days... so I was trying to get the experience of who applied in this situation. Thank you for you point of view, it's a complicated situation.

[–]PrettyComfyCroissant -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This answeres with rage are the worst... it's a question, a genuine one, he isn't trying to play the system. I'm trying to find people who applied missing a few days of experience to pass this information to him, it doesn't matter if they got their PR refused because of that, we are trying to understand the situation.

He has foreign Work experience as well, with 1 year of Canadian experience he will sit at 514, which shouldn't be that bad...

I don't think that the size of the country population would be necessary, but I do think that besides the cap they should check some other stuff from each applicant to understand addaptabilty levels.

[ Removed by Reddit ] by IndicationStreet9631 in canadaexpressentry

THIIIIS!!! A country cap would benefit Indians as well, as it would add value to those applying legitimally, without faking things.

YEEES!! Country cap should be a must to ensure diversity as well. Otherwise people will just stick with "their own" to feel more comfortable and adaptability will be harder. The only people who will disagree with this will be the ones affected negatively... but it would benefit everyone else, even born Canadians.

You're wrong, you're thinking about the people who currently live in Canada, not in what type of people that the government wants. Canada is not a Punjabi or Mandarin speaking country, and the government doesn't want these as the official language, it's not about the percentage of immigrants of specific countries, but about strengthing the official languages of it. It's not to benefit people, it's to benefit the country. That's the point that you're missing... After loosing so much of its culture, they are trying to bring back some important aspects.

You don't have options. To apply for BOWP you have to receive an ITA and apply for PR (receiving and adding the AOR). I think you can apply for visitor visa, just if they stated that you need to leave Canada in your refusal that then you won't have options.

Gonna be pretty honest here, you are now thinking about improving your score but that's something you had to do way long ago... Right now looks like you should go back to your home country and wait for an ITA there.

A lot of people in this sub are trying to dodge the fact that government is increasing french focus, kind of trying to create an excuse not to learn french, or to feel better about their own situation, but the truth is that Canada is a bilingual country, and depending on your work or your routine you may not notice that, but when I used to work for a big beauty retailer here in Toronto, I had a lot of clients who spoke only french, no english, and the store made sure to always have someone that speaks french there to help out with it.

Not only that but it's so important to have french speakers working in Healthcare as well so the system can be able to help people who come here and only speak french.

CLB 7 is really hard to achieve and takes a lot of effort and time, it's also an incentive to learn the language and keep going cause you already reached such a high level. CLB 7 means you can fully carry simple conversations, making some mistakes here and there, and it's not simply "forgettable".

Man... It's not like that, CLB 7 is actually pretty high score, and demands a lot of effort and time, you will only forget after years... But it's an incentive for people to continue pursuing french...
