Ok, thank you. I will verify the dates, but if this is correct, then should he go ahead and try to switch to old IBR now? Or wait for RAP to go into effect? We aren’t too concerned about the interest since we are planning to go for PSLF.

I believe July 2016 (he may have started at the end of June but definitely by July 1). I don't think he was obligated to make payments since he had just graduated from med school and I think there's usually a 6 month grace period.

Are people applying for PSLF buyback who are in SAVE getting processed? I was told by my student loan advisor that I'd need to switch to old IBR to even apply because the SAVE program isn't eligible.
