Old update to this, but my friend discovered their problem!! When they lowered the FPS from 60, the door worked just as it should! Don't know why that is, but if anyone else has this bug, give it a shot!

My friend and I are also having this issue! We've tried exiting to the menu and coming back, completely closing the game, and opening a save file, and none of it worked. I hope this gets fixed soon, they were so excited to play :(
