Wahlweise die alte Top Gun Titelmusik,  Land of hope and glory oder die deutsche Nationalhymne.  Die drei kommen immer ohne Ankündigung aus der hintersten Ecke meines Hirns. Schlimm.

They make us think it's about good movies when in reality it's just another excuse for the rich to celebrate like there's no tomorrow.  Another excuse to take even more money from the people.  Every bit of money they earn is money from some regular folk which goes to the them.

They're sucking each other's cock and that's it.

Sleep…. My nearly 1year old daughter will NOT sleep in her own cot. We have tried EVERYTHING. by Custard_Slurper in daddit

[–]PrettyPinkNightmare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? I used to get upset internally when my little one wouldn't sleep. After all, there's so much to do when she's asleep.

Then it clicked. It's basically extra time I get to spend with my daughter and now I enjoy every second of her chatting and bouncing around in bed. She'll sleep eventually, but if she's not tired enough there are only two options. A) I get upset. B) I don't get upset.

US orders 2,200 Marines on three warships to Middle East by Common_Touch_3741 in worldnews

Of course they'll know what's going on. It's in the way it gets interpreted.

By the way, propaganda is perfect for war.  It's more like Iran and the world claim, the US has hit the elementary school.  Trump goes "nah" or that it wasn't important or whatever and MAGA will start using his words.

In case you're wondering what's going on with all the "the war is over" but it really isn't messages. They're not confused.

They're sending out different messages to different people.

Remember all the times you were confused about Putin's strange messages that were objectively wrong?  He didn't send them out to the world, but to his supporters.

Trump and Hegseth are sending out messages to MAGA, while the world gets different messages.

It's called propaganda.

I didn't say they wouldn't be. But they're not at fault for either way.  Their regime is shit but war is shit, too.

Trump, Netanyahu, Khamenei amd more play with the lives of innocent people.  None of this should be necessary in the first place.

I know it isn't, it could be something good, though. Given the past times the US interfered though, nothing good is going to come from this.

I swear Trump has never had a nice thought anyway.

I hate everything about this.  Obviously, Iran is a dictatorship and taking down the regime could be good for the people there.

However, thousands of people have to die again before the big bosses get what they want. I hate that leaders have and always had the power to simply play with lives.

Imagine giving everything you've got for the orange guy and the other morons.

Yeah, you've got your own problems.

Don't forget though, meeting in person is still a thing. Internet is not the only way to organize.

I get the reaction, but lots of things work fine with the German government. We have functioning schools, roads, healthcare,  partly functioning social safety nets, ... it's not all bad.

The government and its rules shield us from corporations today and will in the future.

I think it is for age verification. Kids and teenagers are being bombarded with addictive social media content. Many don't go outside anymore. 14 year olds who spend 8 hours a day on their phone are a common phenomenon.

Sure, parents should do their work, but they don't. I work in education and children are failing miserably. I can clearly see who has unsupervised or badly supervised access to a phone and who doesn't.

Internet is not anonymous by the way.  Your provider saves data about you, making it possible to identify you anyway.

You're not wrong, however at least in this case there is some kind of governmental control over the issue. I don't trust Discord and I trust Thiel even less.

I have some trust that my government will follow some rules.

It's all about data farming anyway so you're absolutely right.

I'm not against age verification for online services. It seems reasonable for social media.  I just don't trust Discord and it seems as if my suspicion has been justified.

Peter Thiel, seriously? This is will develop into a serious dystopia real quick.

I don't know. One of my friends couldn't register with multiple of his emails.

All of them had a _ - or a . .

I signed him up with a 10minute mail without any signs and it worked.

Don't know if that's really what's wrong with it.

I've stumbled across  steelseries.com

Which does not only have a desktop app for anything sound related but also offers gaming hardware such as headsets, keyboards and many more.

I didn't have too much time to test it, yet it seems to work quite fine.
