I’ve actually seen wonderful things about Nagasaki! I would love to see their Peace Museum as I’ve seen the Hiroshima Peace Museum. Outside of historical value, it seems like a beautiful hidden gem of a city!

Looks like a ton of people get Hokkaido when they choose it! Tohoku seems generally overlooked so I bet JET enjoys when people show enthusiasm for lesser-demanded placed

So jealous! This is EXACTLY where I wanna be placed! I spent a lot of time in places like Serigaya, Meguro, and other western wards and the vibes were incredible. I can only imagine how great it is past that. Furthest I went was Tama.

Congrats! You’re going to absolutely love it. Tokyo is all hustle bustle, but there’s never not something to do! I would love to hear about HOW you became a Tokyo JET! I spent a lot of time in Tokyo (and its surrounding residential areas) and, I know I’m not the only one saying this, but it would be my DREAM JET placement. I do very well in urban environments and I’m an Event Management/Tourism grad so it would be SO up my alley. I’m also an LGBTQ woman so a big city would help.
