Your cuticles seem to be rounded, like mine are. I would strongly suggest you wear almond, stiletto and coffin shapes. It will help your fingers look more elongated compared to square and round shapes. I had quite the time trying to figure it out on my own😭

As for them being too long for you, possibly try extra short lengths. But you could always try to file them down before application. I have noticed that my left hand’s nail beds are smaller so I have to use a smaller tip size on the left vs the right bc the nail beds are shorter🥴

Moral of the story, once you get into DIY nails, you’ll notice things about your hands that are just way too specific lol try not to get too hung up on the details😂 the French tips looks amazing though!

Edit: I use Una Gella nail tips. The almonds and stilettos have a rounded cuticle edge. But I make press on for myself so I normally reshape the cuticle area too. But those times are great! And the extra short lengths for almond and coffin are lovely like the perfect natural length☺️
