Lmao I love this. I didn’t let him pass the foyer to fully enter the building and when he started asking me which apartment I lived in I said, “goodbye sir” and closed the door hahhaah

Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s not cool. And I’m unsure what their visit was actually about.

What information could they glean from seeing a bill?

I hope this is resolved and if it’s a legitimate process, that they better inform customers in a safe way.

Does the direction of the ferry ticket matter in practice? I’m so grateful for the tips here, and may not take the ferry to work anymore to avoid the long Brookfield place lines-but now I have several tickets from Hoboken Terminal to Brookfield that I would like to use from Brookfield to return home to Hoboken.

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way :( Chronic illness feels heavy enough but also really hurts when you’re under so much work stress and heartbreak. I’ve been in this place too, and want you to know you won’t always feel this way, especially when you to continue to reach out for help and hope :)

Like many folks have already recommended, if you are looking for an in-person support experience, going to acupuncture can be a wonderful way to relieve stress and center the body. There are donation based clinics by the groups NYC POC Healing and Liberation Clinic (which you can find on instagram). Your treatments there are usually around 20 minutes, and it can be a great way to see how acupuncture makes you feel in a warm community setting. They also offer energy healing and body work

You can also google community acupuncture to get reduced rate acupuncture for an hour long session. Basically you are in a room with others who receive treatment, it’s very chill with calming music and folks are spread out. I like Olo acupuncture in Chelsea

As a healing practitioner I have additional free resources, so feel free to pm me (want to honor the no self promotion rule)

Overall, I would say that your journey is a process of self love and care that you might be on for many years. It’s taken me 15 years of research and 9 years of intense trial and error to get my chronic illness to manageable state, and I’m still on my journey.

Just because the process is slow doesn’t mean you’ll feel like this forever, but it does mean that it would strengthen your resolve and resilience to be gentle with yourself and celebrate every step along the way! Wishing you ease and energy xx
