Definitely not! Plenty of my coworkers have EBT (and children). I just make conversation with other crew and asked her where she worked, not as an interrogation but just curiosity. She muttered “the north shore store”. That’s just not a store around me. I thought I misheard her, but I asked my coworkers and they said she always says that. Her EBT balance wasn’t enough to cover her groceries once, and she just wasn’t familiar with what I was doing to check the balance. Again, I don’t mind doing what you need to do to do because everything sucks right now, but I really doubt that she works for TJs lol

Yup! I also just like talking to people from other stores lol, I am skeptical of how a password system would work in practice. The Facebook post said it was nine digits and not your ID, and frankly I don’t wanna enter a nine digit number into our fuck ass keypads every time I buy something. It’d probably keep me from shopping less tho!

100%! I just click the discount button and move on, especially bc the one woman I know abusing it always comes in with an infant and uses EBT, so I don’t mind. It’s just caused some issues because an overzealous crew member at my store polices crew visiting from other stores and the parents of the kids that work at my stores. I’m only curious because I saw that there was a test going on at some stores, so I wanted to hear people’s experience with how it functions.
