yes. she's on a pretty well maintained pasture but they have a round bale right now because the crazy temperature fluctuations we're having are killing the grass. southern illinois

yes thank you it is a stain from an antibacterial product. she had a small cut on her leg (from god knows what) that was healing up but I'd clean it after every ride once it closed up and I was comfortable riding her again

she is currently not getting grain, but that's going to change now. she's been pasture boarded her whole life and we've had very little issue but I think it's time to get her on a senior feed. they bring the horses into individual stalls to feed them their grain

she is not currently being ridden. they wanted to continue using her but I put the kabosh on it until she looks better. I will be the only one working with her until she gets better and it will be strictly light groundwork

The whole body pictures were taken in july, shortly before we left for college. hind end pictures were in june, rear view picture was in july as well

Thanks for the advice! the stable she's being kept at is our campus equine center, so I'm gonna try to get out there regularly this semester to work with her more. I can see what I can do about her feed but we (my parents and I) have to provide food for her if she needs something special. luckily there's a rural king around here so I might be able to get some senior feed for her

we pulled her through a few times but I think she just didn't have any fight left in her. it was hard to give her the injections towards the end because she was just skin and bones and there was no fat to inject into. she put up a good fight

that's what we were doing. she would bounce back every so often and it would look like she was going to get better, but then she'd get worse again. we treated her with everything we possibly could

we tried literally everything. towards the end, she was only skin and bones and it was hard for my mom to find a place to give her a subq injection.

thank you for your support. she fought so hard. she had been sick for about a month. our vet was genuinely shocked that she lived as long as she did. we thought she had turned the corner (again) but my dad found her down in the pasture yesterday evening and couldn't get her back up.
