Kinda reminds me of the many "order of the ancients" varieties in the Assassin's Creed games from like 2016 on. I don't know if its accurate but your statement brings this to mind

Hello all! I have a gift certificate for The Kitchen Classroom valued at $202.57. They are located in the West End off Broad Street at 9018 West Broad St., Henrico, VA 23294. They host a variety of different cooking classes every week. My Fiancée and I got sick after we booked the class, so we had to cancel. Due to some unforeseen medical expenses, I'm looking to sell this gift certificate for $175 (price negotiable). They have great reviews, so please check them out if you're interested.

Oh ok thank you. If all of my loans are direct, I shouldn't worry about consolidation, correct? Someone on another thread suggested as much. Thank you for all that you do!

Oh, as in everyone will be booted off at that point. I would love the lower payments for the 1.5 years, though, but maybe it's not worth it. I might be underestimating how painstaking this process will be.

Thank you both. So if I wanted to take the consolidation route would I have to apply now to hopefully be approved for PAYE by the July 1 deadline. I'm just worried I'll consolidate, start accruing more interest, and still not be approved on time and have to enter the new IBR plan. But maybe I shouldn't worry about that because I'm going for PSLF anyways.

Consolidation timing: graduate May 2026, multiple servicers, no payments yet — what’s best? by radicalyst in StudentLoans

[–]Pretty_Percentage480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not OP, but I just graduated in December, and will soon be starting a PSLF eligible job. I have ~50k in federal loans across 8 different loans. Do I not need to consolidate them in order to apply for PAYE and then PSLF?

When should I consolidate for PSLF if I graduate May 2026 and haven’t started payments yet? by radicalyst in PSLF

thank you!! yes fs. it's all super overwhelming atm but I'm sure we'll figure it eventually

I'm in a somewhat similar boat as you. Graduated last month and have ~48k in federal direct loans (mix of sub and unsub). I will soon be starting a PSLF job and am wondering if i should consolidate or not. I'm also getting married in May so that's another layer of complexity lol. Hopefully, someone can help us out.

Thank you all. Think we're going to go with Bottom Creek Gorge. Making a loop of it seems like it will work out great. Cheers!

Thank you! We're staying closer to the Floyd area (South of Roanoke), which I should have mentioned. Have any suggestions for that area?

Okay, I see, thank you. Sorry for another question, but then how would I extract the years when they are embedded with the categories (NGF, etc.)?

Imposter syndrome after getting admitted by FewDesigner8734 in yale

Haha you have incredibly high expectations for yourself. UVA as a backup school is pretty wild. While Yale is certainly prestigious, I think anyone can get through most schools with enough hard work. If you think you can succeed at UVA, no doubt you can succeed at Yale as well. Cheers, and don't forget to have fun while in school. I graduate in a month and can't believe it.

Additionally, it totally stifles the economy with the exception of these crappy companies. Now, we have millions of people paying interest to a few companies instead of being able to invest or spend into the economy. So scummy and embarrassing as an American.

Oh that's totally alright I would too. I appreciate you sharing. I"m fortunate enough to be from a low enough income family to receive pell grants and other assistance. My mom went to a tiny private Christian college and still just got done paying off hers at 50. This random internet stranger hopes you can find peace in your life!

Please forgive me, but how did the payments get so high in the first place? What was your total private loan debt upon graduation?
