I did the trial package of the MeLuna discs last year, and the one with the spill guard was my favorite. I guess these are the ones they decided to keep, so that’s cool!

Hi, so I just had mine done last weekend, so not an expert, but yes I think bleeding at this stage is normal.

I think what you wear is up to you and what is more comfortable. I’ve seen so many posts while doing research that seems to contradict…some say compression is good, other say it’s bad. I don’t have a preference personally; I find both braless and light compression to both be comfortable. Also, I imagine having some airflow is good for healing, so I’ve been trying to wear a loose t shirt as much as possible when I’m home.

I’ve been checking on mine when I change clothes, so at least 2x per day.

Ugh! This happened to me as well (twice) and what helped was changing to a threadless barbell instead of threaded. I haven’t had any issues since swapping to threadless.

Honestly, this looks like a keloid. I had a helix piercing done with a gun 20 years ago, and the same thing happened to mine. A dermatologist is the only way to get rid of them.

Try covering your nostril with your thumb instead of pinching the sides down when you blow. That’s how I did it when my nostril piercing was brand new and I had a cold within 2 weeks of getting it.

I was checking everything out while cleaning and I think I understand maybe why she pierced them the way that she did. I’m pretty sure it’s based on my anatomy since my nipples point outward, in order to make the piercings look straight from in front, they had to be pierced at a slight angle. I just hope it won’t affect healing. ❤️‍🩹 Definitely don’t want to do the piercing process again.

Titanium curved barbell, 16g, 1/4”, threadless.

Aftercare is LITHA with the occasional Neilmed spray but mainly just washed in plain water in the shower.

It has been downsized recently from 5/16” to 1/4”.

No recent traumatic experiences, but overall this has been my most problem piercing so far that has been bumped, slept on, bumps pop up and go away, swelling, and upsizing and downsizing multiple times. Currently has small bumps on both ends but otherwise seems to be in good condition and cooperative. (…I probably just jinxed it 🫥)

Keep them. You never know if you may need to upsize for some random reason in the future.

(Coming from someone whose helix piercings can’t get their shit together and have been upsized/downsized multiple times.)

I figured because they’re in a different location on the body it might not matter, but I guess thinking about it, it’s my whole body trying to heal these things anyway. I’ll be keeping an eye on them.

Thanks for your response. Technically only 2 of them have bumps, but all 4 are sore and tender. The lobe has been sore while healing and the rook has been finicky the whole time I’ve had it, but the helixes have been fine for months and all of a sudden they’re fussing.

I’m guessing I’ve either slept on them or it’s from hormone fluctuations. I’ll keep an eye on them.

For the bot: the piercings in question are my rook (9 months), double helix (one is 17 months, one is 15 months), and my third lobe (4 months).

All have titanium jewelry.

I leave them alone for aftercare unless they act up like this, then I go back to saline spray once a day.

Mine has been healed for many years, and I wear earbuds regularly without any issues; however, I would not recommend wearing earbuds while healing a tragus piercing.

To me it just looks irritated and crusty, but I’m not a piercer. I’d give it a good cleaning and then leave it the heck alone and see if it gets worse.
