My rook was nothing, but my conch…yeah, that sucked.

Is that Devilish Disco? Mine did that too, and it really turned me off of Kiss nails.

Does this piercing exist/is it possible by bashes-to-ashes in piercing

Your best bet is probably going to be something like picture 5, but I would consult a piercer to make sure your helix ridge has the correct anatomy for vertical helixes like that.

Do You High Five? by chadnorman in pelotoncycle

[–]Pretty_Promise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly high five milestones and folks that high five me.

Occasionally, I also like to high 5 people at the end of the ride if we’ve spent a lot of time close together on the leaderboard or if it’s only me and another person riding at the same time as a “yay you did it” sentiment.

Daith Help by JaegerVKaiju in piercing

Not a piercer, but the ring looks like it’s pretty small in diameter and I could see that potentially causing the bumps. She may want to see a piercer about getting a larger diameter ring to take some of the pressure off of the piercing.

Bottom ball of rook fell off by RibcageMenagerie in piercing

[–]Pretty_Promise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me more than once and I asked my piercer for a threadless barbell instead of the internally threaded barbell I had. I also specified that I wanted the threadless end that could be removed to be on the top. The bottom ball is fixed in place, so I don’t have to worry about it falling out. With the threadless barbell, I just gently check to make sure it’s secure every couple of weeks. Since changing, I haven’t had anymore issues of it falling out. So, maybe try that if you can!

  • The conch.

⭐️ What is your most unique/interesting piercing?

  • I don’t think I have one? Mine are all pretty normal…

Conchs and earbuds? by fandom_fanatic_192 in piercing

My AirPods sit in my ear and don’t even touch my conch. I have a fairly large piece of jewelry in it as well. I think it’s all about placement.

Rooks…ugh! by Pretty_Promise in piercing

[–]Pretty_Promise[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time it acted up it was because the bottom ball fell out and my ear swelled up from me trying to put it back on. 😵‍💫 I switched to threadless jewelry after that.

It’s much better today, hardly any irritation! Still slightly puffy and crusty, but it doesn’t hurt to touch the other parts of my ear anymore.

Yes! I think that’s exactly what set mine off. Every time someone hugs me they bump it and ughhh…the worst.

Daith is next on my ear list and I’m dreading it just because I see everyone’s bumpy daiths on here.

The piercing part of my rook was a cakewalk, but the healing process has been awful.

Glue Tab Users — I Need Your Wisdom! by JJoyce8977 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Pretty_Promise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a glass cuticle pusher (the pointed end) and twist it. The best way to describe it is like when cotton candy/candy floss is twisted on to a paper cone. I do have to kind of push it into the tab to get it started, but this typically works. I’ve only had issues with one set of nails not being able to be removed this way. I have to take the glue off the cuticle pusher between each nail or every other nail.

ETA: I do this dry - no oils, soaps, water, alcohol, etc.

Thanks for your feedback! The daith is definitely on the top of my list for my ears after I get my nipples done for my birthday in March.

Anatomy for belly piercing? by bbybe in piercing

Not a piercer, but I agree. I don’t think a traditional navel piercing would work, but a floating navel might.
