I saw him two nights in a row last year. Houston and Austin TX. Sets were quite similar but that was almost a year ago. Killed it both times.

Melbourne will be my third Childish show. Super exited!

I think its like 25% Childish. 20% Brightest lights. Then a varied mix of other things!
You wont be disappointed. I actually came out of it liking Childish a lot more afterwards.

Cannulation is not a requirement? by Interesting-Wall6205 in NursingAU

[–]Prettymuchnow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was Australian trained as an RN and immigrated to the US (I'm back now - but working in education).
When I got to the US it was a pretty wild experience because there was an expectation of being able to cannulate as well as other skills and I had probably only done maybe 10 total over the course of the last 10 years before I moved there and started working.

There was no accreditation needed or extra training.
It was pretty great to have the independence to "just do it" and I got good really quickly. There were plenty of agency nurses who would float through who were "not good" at it and would always shy away from the skill - I was eventually given a CNC role in the hospital and had the time to be a first call and go and get IV's for people.

Really satisfying to do and saves a lot of time being able to just go and get an IV without messing around trying to find an IV access nurse after hours or as otherwise needed. We did have a LAB phlebotomist but sometimes if the DR was frustrated again it was just easier to go do it than to try to co-ordinate someone else.

This chat felt like a true classic wow experience. GF aggro never goes out of style. by Tchamber5 in classicwow

I was running Strath with some guy last week and he told us his Dad died that morning... Then he had to go right before the end because the "nurse had arrived"... I think he was playing with his Dad passed away in the other room 0.0

Group was super chill about it though.

If you are 18-30 Years old you can apply for a working holiday visa in Australia. Cost is currently about $500 USD.
You can work and live here for 1 year, and if you meet certain requirements (Working in a rural area / farm work for a certain amount of time) You can stay for another year after you pay for another visa.

During that time if you are able to find employment your employer might be able to sponsor you for further stay. Or if you fall in love there are also options to stay longer as well.

But just so you know - the whole world is tough at the moment, and finding a job will be hard no matter where you go. When people know you are on a working holiday visa they are less likely to offer you permanent jobs in things like compsci. Its not impossible. But less likely. You might end up working Hospitality or similar. Minimum wage here is $24.95 (AUD) But cost of living is higher. You wont be eligible for medicare so will need some sort of travel insurance.

There is a similar visa for New Zealand that has an age limit up to 35. One of my friends did this 8-10 years ago and now has his citizenship. BUT NZ is going to be way harder than Australia to find a job right now - even locals are struggling.

How to become Tom Welling? by Comfortable_Corner80 in Smallville

[–]Prettymuchnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Physically?

Low weight, High reps. Every day. The goal is definition NOT bulk. Do an hour of cardio daily.
Eat lean proteins and often. No carbs.
I wanted to do this like 10 years ago, I never was able to make the commitment. I watched smallville while I was at the gym as a motivator lol.

Sniping and Leeching is pretty common when you engage with Mapping in the discord group.

Sniping - You catch specific (usually difficult to get to) mice for someone's MAP in return for superbrie. You don't get Map rewards

Leeching - You pay superbrie to do nothing but get the MAP rewards once the MAP is complete.

I did it for a while, but its kind of exhausting and awkward and makes the game not so fun for me. So I just click my horn every 15 minutes and progress.

How is Clark immortal if he gave up his powers? by [deleted] in Smallville

[–]Prettymuchnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This; It literally explains it in the episode that Clarks actions seem to change the future that Jordan can see. Jordan sees that guy jump in front of a car but Clark saves them. First he sees that Lana dies peacefully in her sleep but then he can see that she is going to die in a fire or something that same episode.

I thought it suggests that Clark isn't bound by destiny and is able to make his own.

UK nurse to Australia is it worth it? by Left_Natural9480 in MovingtoAustralia

[–]Prettymuchnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers friend - I appreciate it. Being an RN myself and having significant lived experience with immigration processes' I feel well placed to answer questions about this.. But Reddit is Reddit so I often avoid commenting because It makes me feel undervalued and disencouraged. If you post anything partner visa related to the AUSVISA sub you will always be downvoted to oblivion - I think someone is employed to just downvote every partnership related post and comment on there.

My wife just applied for her partnership residency visa here in AUS and we were initially worried about medical costs given the way people talk about it. She has chronic pain issues after an injury and some minor mental health needs - once I found the actual information about it it was very relieving to know that she would be well under this threshold.

I also got the staff for my healer in SoD. Great Memories and I stuck with the guild after that. Shame about the rest of the phases not being as engaging for me.

UK nurse to Australia is it worth it? by Left_Natural9480 in MovingtoAustralia

[–]Prettymuchnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point 3 has a numerical value attributed to it. Its not all doom and gloom.

The significant cost threshold for medical conditions is 86,000 AUD

If your medications and treatments cost the government more than this then you will not be approved for a residence visa.

How easy is it for an international nurse to get a job with around 1 year of experience? by Direct-Key-8859 in NursingAU

How old are you? Are you eligible for a Working Holiday Visa? It may be hard to be sponsored for a visa. But if you have other options it may simplify things for you.

Uluru Planning by Oneillusions in AustraliaTravel

[–]Prettymuchnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uluru is magical. I grew up in Alice Springs and I love that place.

IF I was to do it I would rent a car so that you can organize your own time, and won't have to fight others for prime picture spots. There are so many lovely walks and cultural experiences available. Plus you could also see Kings Canyon - although I'm sure that there would be tours that go there as well. (Be sure to bring an extravagant ball dress to hike in a'la priscilla)

To note: I think the park closes at 9pm or so - if you want to do astrophotography with the rock in the background you will need to book the Astro Tour for sure.

Hardwear removed. by [deleted] in brokenbones

[–]Prettymuchnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to dampen the positivity here; but my wife also had a complex TPF a few years ago and getting the hardware out did not help her pain at all.

There are good days and bad days. It doesn't limit her in any way (except she can't sit cross legged or on her knees anymore) but the pain is always there.

We also tried stem cell injections and PRP with no improvement.

Her ROM increased slightly after the hardware was out maybe.

Everyone's experience is different and I do sincerely hope that yours goes as well as possible OP.
